I'm surprised by that, I would have put money on the top seller being a cross-platform game, which would give it a larger market.

Something like Elite or Football Manager?

Wikipedia says -
# Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES - 17.28 Million)
# Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2 - 12 Million)
# Super Mario Land 2 (Game Boy - 11.09 Million)
# Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2 - 11 million)

Biggest PC ones are
# The Sims (10 million)
# Half-Life (8 million)
# Starcraft (8 million)
# Age of Empires II (8 million)
# Myst (7 million)
u know i dont think that the 'marios bros series' should count individualy as theyre just variations on the originals theme, nor would i count the gameboy entries as they're moreover a portable game, like old card games are.

as for the pc-game list, i do notice theyre largely RTS type games...funny that, for cant consoles process or display certain games types, as properly as pc's do?
or is the ms-xbox360 as good as a modern pc?

ps- i think 3 of the above games are british made.
