Am I missing something??

Would a Raspberry pi kit, 2 joypads and an HDMI cable not be cheaper and give you a hell of a lot more emulation possibilities??

About £60 all in and you can even get a case that looks like a NES for £15. These things make no sense to me.

Nostalgia is a powerful tool to get people to give you their money.

I preordered through Amazon as soon as saw the press release. Although it was difficult to find on the Amazon site.

It amazes me that Nintendo don't make more and make a killing on them.

This. And it helps that the SNES Mini will probably never be worth less than what you bought it for should you get bored of it

Missed the boat last night and didn't manage to get a pre-order via any website as they were all sold out.

Did manage to bag a pre-order in the local Game store this morning though so if anyones still after one its worth a try.

I gather that Nintendo will be making significantly more mini SNES's though so id expect more pre-orders to be available at some point.

The NES mini works well on a 55" TV so can't see this being any worse.

you can put software on your PC and download any game for free. all you need is a controller

so you can get the same setup for probably a tenner. just incase anyone didn't know.

this one would be good for convenience though but a bit steep in price.

it's nothing new. I was downloading the roms/emulators back in the late 90s with many of us playing the likes of street fighter or DBZ etc on the library computers during playtime or lunch. some people still like to do it legit and support the industry.

I'd like to have one as i've never played a SNES. But i expect i won't be able to get my hands on one because they'll be snapped up by people who also still have a SNES.
