VR is a complete game changer, brings it to a new level
I have an Oculus DK2, it's not great on that as the resolution is too low and/or the screen door effect makes the cockpit displays and instruments pretty much unreadable. I also don't have a HOTAS so it's not ideal fumbling at the keyboard trying to remember and hit the right key/combination.What VR headset do you use? Also I guess you have a HOTAS?
I have a production version Occulus,and an X-56 HOTAS
A HOTAS is definitely vital in VR, although Voice Atrack may also be good...I need to set mine up
I agree the resolution is a bit meh sometimes, but the experience makes up for it IMHO.
There are some mods to make reading la ask in VR easier I believe, depends on the plane

Thanks for that. I love Elite Dangerous on the DK2 but there aren't really instruments to read, just the HUD and that's big enough to be readable, if a bit fuzzy. Lockdown has seen me skirting with the idea of a newer headset but can't really justify £700+, particularly if then I need a HOTAS and potentially a newer GPU to run it...
Been playing this for a while now, purchased the AV8B and F/A 18 just before the free month
I've also had the FC3 module for a while which is a worthwhile purchase too
On multiplayer I've mostly been on the aerobatics server trying out formation stuff etc, but recently mastered CCIP bombing and strafing with rockets/guns on the F/A 18 so been trying some PVE servers. Air to Air refuelling on the other hand is some sort of black magic I did kind of get the hang of it with the F15C and even did a sort of 'this is the way I do it' video

Also the Nevada map is worthwhile getting when it's on sale

I've been thinking about the Nevada map, is there much to it?
I've been using it a lot in single player, have seen a few multiplayer servers using it (was actually thinking about creating a PVE server with it) but I wouldn't pay full price for it tbhI guess if more servers utilised it, it would be better but as it stands it's just a change of scenery...It is nice to blat down the Vegas strip below building height in an F18 though

Hop on 104th teamspeak, the guys are really helpful and happy to teach newcomers, It's how I learn't .
PvP is the only way you'll get better. my call sign unsurprisingly is Didge
I'll maybe take this advice too, so far managed to get the hang of most of the f18s systems (carrier ops mastered too) but dogfighting still eludes me.PvP is the only way you'll get better. my call sign unsurprisingly is Didge
Kind of have the hang of BVR with AIM120s but have only shot down CPU controlled migs so far.
