Top race.

But I'm going to complain to Michelin, I think I was using their cast off IndyF1 tyres

I'm not sure if my line effected the wear on the tyres but it caused me to go off at the back chicane with a puncture. From the slow left hander to the chicance I straight line it, clip the left hand edge of the track, the shortest distance. If everyone else was staying to the right I would end up driving over the marbles everylap when they built up.

Must...........finish.........a..........race........without......an.........incident.

Well Barcelona and Mingey-Corr are my worst tracks and they've gone so roll on Le Mans

PS - PV my Barca setup, needs fuel probably as it's in offline testing mode - www.mercia.biz/GTR_League/F550-Barca-DLQ.zip

PPS To anyone I was passing in the race I had my chat turned off as it's distracting to me, I always like the other car to stay on the racing line and I make the move to pass then I know what's going on

I'm afraid I retired after my PC decided to minimise GTR just as I was entering turn 3 Got going again but it was only about 10 minutes into the race and I'd been lapped anyway, would usually have carried on - but I wasn't really in the mood

I accidentally clicked the motec button seconds before the start. Thus meaning I had to shut it down and couldn't re-enter, ho hum, monday it is...

Good race guys, thoroughly enjoyed that.

Finished 6th I think, kept leap frogging Petrol Vapour as he sat in the pits - couple of laps later he'd have me but then no sooner did that happen, in the pits again - chuffed with 6th overall and 2nd NGT.

I'm lapping about a second a lap slower than funkyrobot in the NGTs, not sure whether I'm ever going to make that up. At least I'm consistent now, only had one off the whole race and that was a minor one.

Pondering the move up to GT class - not sure though.

Time to start practicing at Le Mans. Did we ever decide which version we were going to run? Twilight was it?

Wasn't too impressed but i'll be there for Monday's game, bringing up the rear. Still it gave me a chance to play a couple of games of LFS and then Battlefield 2.

FWD, I use the same line although I don't really clip the left side of the track. I didn't really notice much difference except for the fact that sometimes the chicane seemed quite slippery. HHmmm you may have a point there! I was lucky though because I didn't get a puncture.

it made it fun eh Dobbo, weird though as I'm thinking of going NGT so as to only have one pit stop 45 secs to pit would make the NGTs quicker for me, Gts are harder on tyres I would imagine which makes them more prone to punctures, FWD and my driving style seem to agrevate this, duno, I might have a play with them at the w/e, quite like the idea of being an underdog to, OK, more of an underdog

For the unscheduled 4th pit stop I made I found I could adjust / decrease the fuel to take on, thought this would decrease the pit time but it didn't? you just adjust it then press return key? will have to look at this too.

never have really looked at set ups etc or how to manage the pits as i was unsure of how this league racing would go but after last night I think it proved just how good it can be, so will really do some practising with these areas as it seems this is where races are won and lost.

Thanks again guys it was awsome, bit sad we lost quite a few racers as time elappsed, stick with it guys as there are so many variables that can happen to others you could well find yourself in top places easily, just a case of being there to pik up the pieces

Server performed well (thx Sammie), is someone set with a reminder for Sammie on Monday?

Ian - NP on the punt, I had a great race anyway, would have taken my self out sooner or later through nerves, I watched the train of cars go past as I spun in the sand so i think I was holding you all up anyway (doin a fine job though)

7th but loved it

ps - thx for the set up fwd, it'll giv me a little idea on where to start.

Nik

Not sure what the pit times are for GTs - I found my Out lap after pitting was 2m47s - so about a minute lost to the pit.

I came out of the pits to find MarkK all over my arse, and I was on cold tyres, touch and go for a while there!

Mine were 1m55 and 1m54 out laps. Check the raw data page on the results above

Hmm... mine are 2:06 and 2:57. must have had a moment on my out lap...

Actually now that I think about it I had a little fun in a sand trap thanks to not being able to find the camera view change button on my keyboard. It was after this that MarkK closed on me. So the 2:57 is not really indicative of an out lap.
