New GTR racing season choices

I think since there's a lot happening we should do a standard GTR one make race Monday and discuss then when everyone is online about what to do.
Bit too late to start this Monday with a single make cup series.
Might be good to add some of the better add-on circuits, like Imola (the Steve Life versions) but if you want to suggest a track test it online to make sure the starting and pits lights work, some don't.

how about superpole for qualy as well? seemed to be very popular and I really liked it.........
Shorter races too? maybe 20 min.......
Just thinking we could also run an Aussie V8 Supercar series since there are a few Aussie circuits out now. Probably be able to host it ourselves as I doubt there would be more than 8 entering. If there is more interest then we'll have to sort out hosting.

(forget Bathurst, that is a poor conversion of a poor track. Track levels are wrong and it's easy to flip the car over just going through one corner)

sorry dern, I saw your post at work and made a note to reply when I got home but forgot...
yeah we play instead of GPL... GPL sort of petered out till there were only 4/5 of us...
GTR is actually (when it works, which for me is all the time) really good online. We have grids of around 10 people and the racing is really good. Much less "tip-toey" than GPL so you can be a bit more, er, rough and ready with your passing moves.

sounds good to me. - I'm in. I just did a few laps and could only manage a few 1:56s which is pretty slow. THe first 5 laps I was doing parabolica in GPL mode... then I realised you could take it 4th gear and get back on the power before the apex even...
It just irritates me, if they took out those first two piddly chicanes it would be a great track (the first one in particular is horrible). I cannot get my braking right for the 1st chicane. or my exit. the 2nd one is tricky too.
