i sent you another couple of messages about my 1.14.28 as i had taken a photo of it as it had logged the time but offline only (thanks microsoft) however i went back and drove 1.14.23. This was done without the 1/2 cut or curb jump.

Good one....What was that update thing all about, took both mine and my lads 360's out within 5 mins of each other

Have no idea. I went on the MS 360 site to see if they had any info as to what it was about but found nothing.

It was a patch to fix some glitches with the dashboard.
It is also supposed to have sorted the webcam functionality for the 360.

I also heard a rumour that it would fix the online professional achievement for Gotham, clearly not though

It is also rumoured a Call Of Duty 2 Patch is coming out sometime this week ??

after a series of clean laps i put in a 1.13.78.

Cheers for the info on the patch j

Edit:

Forgot to say this was without cutting, with the cut i would have been look at low 13's!!!!!

I am fairly certain i can improve that time by .40 without cutting. May get half an hour or so tonight to try that. Would like to break into the top 10 and be the only one in there who doesn't cut or curb jump.

cut that time slighty to a 1.13.54. Still without cutting and i've got a photo on my phone of my ghost going round the chicane without cutting. Hope it comes out ok though! doesn't look great on the phone.

Rubbish photo as i thought it would be. In the distance you can just see the "worlds best" ghost who has just completed the 1/2 cut. You can then see my 1.13.54 ghost just about to enter the chicane. Then my lambo on it's current lap.

Spent last night chasing my ghost Lambo with a few of the others in Class C, nothing seems as stable although some are faster in sections, back to the Lambo from now on I think and try for that one clean lap.

jezza, quick Q do you 'drive' from the behind car perspective all the time ? or was this just for the photo?

Yup 90% of the time i do, and i always do when racing on live against others as i can see where they are around me.
For the final chicane i switch my view from the near out car perspective to the further away out car perspective. I find this gives me a better view of the line i need to take through the chicane.
What view does everyone normally drive in?

I've always used the view with the dials only i.e first one out of the car, but then I still play on an auto box aswell.

I use the higher of the 2 'front of car' cameras.

Kudos on the in car view though Sssline !!

i know that the true hardcore driving experts frown on the out car view. I will try and start doing more on the in car view and front views.
Just spent another 30 mins on it (sad aren't i) put in a 1.13.20. I knew it was possible to get in the top 10 without cutting. Checkout the reply guys, think you'll agree that it maybe possible to squeeze a 1.13.00 but i think that would be the best you could possibly do without cutting. If i had done the cut on that lap i'd have been looking at 2nd or 3rd place.

either you guys are naturals or you spend way too long on improving your times. I had to invite peterpeter to be my friend so i could race his ghost and after an hour i still couldn't get better than 1:18. :J:, couldn't get your gamertag to work?.
And what's with everyone going wide off the track on the second corner? isn't that cheating?

Not sure if I will get on to improve my time, *!£*&^% Netgear Router has just died on us, so back to sharing one port with my lads 360, will try to check in Sunday to see where the times are and pick a track for next week....any favourites (so I can avoid them.)

bummer about your router!

Once this challenge is finished i'm going to retry the track using the cut. As i am sure i can make top 5.

How about something with a lot of corners like trafalgar tour
