A nice game indeed.I even spent some time (call me sad) grabbing some lovely looking
photo mode screens from my replays.I uploaded them and showed them on another forum and then..erm, deleted them all by mistake, so you won't be seeing how nice some of the pictures can look : p

Anyway, i had a go on it using my old PS2 handlebars.
The game obviously recognises them as i didn't need to change any button configs etc.
It sure takes some getting used to though, but being able to actually twist a throttle
and use a brake lever adds to the realism a bit.You can lean the bars or turn to steer, it just depends what you prefer.
Last summer me and a mate were going to rig up some type of frame to hold them on and make
it feel a bit more bike like because as they are you have so sit with them between your legs.

All i know about such things is that one of my old card readers didn't work at all on the PS2.
I got a new one that accepts 5 different cards and it works a treat however.

I think the fundamental problem with stuff like this though, is that in real life, you lean and counter steer (steer the opposite way to the corner)to turn a bike! I have bought TT, and it is pretty good, but you'll never get it as realistic as a car game

You could go into the controller configuration and change right into left ... hence countersteering bars..

I guess you could. Still wouldn't quite cut it though.

Ah hell, i'm just bitter because my bike, despite being a domineering force in WSB in the late nineties*, is not featured

*Actually, I haven't a clue as I was young and didn't watch WSB back then, so it might have been rubbish. I'm still annoyed though.

ZX 7? wasn't that early 90s? Scott Russell won the superbikes and then was struggling against Foggy on the early 916

got the game anyway, done 3 licences, some races

get the tzr250 sp, win nearly all the street races, 250, 600, 750, 1000, unlimited, the lot

I might have to have a look at this.

What do the bikes sound like? Do the 2 strokes sound good? Any other strokers like the RD,RGV,NS etc.

If its got an RD500LC, I'll buy it tomorrow!

Does anyone else find the bikes very slow from 0 to about 80 or 90mph? A CBR600RR gets to 60 a little quicker than five and a half seconds. I did read something, somewhere, ages ago about how to get the bikes to accelerate quicker, involving moving a bit of weight about and crouching, but I can't seem to find it. Anybody shed any light? Amazing game

Had yesterday off so spent some time earning gold in all the licences.... and managed it Woo Hoo (ok, so maybe not that exciting, but made me bloody happy, some of the later tests a HARD and only managed gold by a few hundreds of a second). You get loads of clothing for getting all silver and then a new bike for getting all gold.
For all gold in the expert licence you get the oval piston Honda NR750. Goooood bike. It seems to be able to corner completely on its side with stonking grip and can easily outrun alot of the 1000+cc super bikes. For the Super licence you get a highly moddified Katana (In a lovely shade of black pearl with really nicely done discoloured exhaust pipes, one of the highest rendered bikes in the game for visual appearence) that can beat anything in its class.

Also once you get the special licence the final challenge bikes are actually quite easy to aquire. Its 1 flying lap that you have to complete within a certain pre defined time limit. Got most of these first time out and only had to repeat the 999RM & Suzuki events to win the relevent bikes. Now got around 100 bikes and over 50% complete. Very adictive game indeed.

Ps. If you like the Buell bikes then its worth completing the 2 stroke legends championship as you get a nice Buell Lightning for you troubles.
