Registry location is: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - SEGA - Medieval II Total War" then on the right it's the 'CD Key' value. (The forum software seems to strip out the back slash, so I've replaced it with a dash).

However, I don't know how it will behave if you still have the demo installed - I uninstalled that before the main event.

It's a testament to how good this game is, that it's got SO much broken about it, yet it is still an amazing game.

I think there's a patch due in a week or so - some rumours suggest it's going to be a big one too - around 200Mb. Still if it fixes the AI and the cavalry charge bug, and the pathfinding, the 'do nothing' bug, the unit placement bug etc etc, I'm all for it

[edit]FunkyNige - you'll need at least a gig of memory to make this game run nicely and load smartly.

Very true, I find the 'do nothing' to be the most irritating. Just set up your archers to shower enemy units, they just stand around whilst all around them die. rolleyes
