Why the mentions of needing a PS3 ?

Isn't it coming for the 360 and PS3 anymore ??

Help, confused... smile

I thought it was coming out for both. But I don't have either right now.

Top price!

I read from there delivery is free too. However, did they say it would arrive of release day, or is it the equivalent of Amazon 'Super-saver' delivery which is 3 days or so?

I'm going to walk to the shop to buy mine, might do the midnight thing again like SA but that was very ghey. Lots of kids with a load of games to p/x with their mum or dad in tow due to the 18 age rating.

I'll be in my new house by the time this comes out so a good week off to enjoy the game & my new crib will be very nice!

I'd just like to also point out that you lot are welcome to visit my City, but there will be:

Phil tax - £
Skill tax - £
king tax - £
another tax in case - £

£ Payable on entry.

I own this ing town...

The midnight thing will only make you feel sad. I did it for SA and felt like a pitiable old man. All that made it better was my mate who queued up with me letting slip that he did it for the Dreamcast launch, and paid £350 for it.

nope its free delivery as soon as they get it. i just had burnout paradise on pre-order with zavvi and it came a day early smile

agree with not going to the shop at midnight. I did that with gran turismo 4 and felt very embarrased to say the least.

Thing is with queueing up like that you'll sit there in the cold for a few hours and have to make small talk with the great unwashed.

Much better option is to order from gameplay, play, shopto.net etc who all dispatch it early and 99% of the time you'll get it the morning before release, so you can either spend all day on Thursday the 28th playing it in your nice warm house, alternatively for a fun game you can drive past the mugs who choose to queue up and wave your copy out the window, thus leading them into a comedy Benny Hill-style chase.

Thats the thing though, I wouldn't queue up to get it. I'd just walk into a supermarket and pick up a copy. Its what I did with Halo3. I couldn't give a rats arse what people think of me. biggrin

Although saying that I might pre-order it. Just depends whether it comes the day early.

Pre-ordered with Play.com. 20% saving, not half bad. And yes, it will have multiplayer! biggrin

Go for the cast-iron guarantee method, pre-order it from gameplay or shopto, if it doesn't come early then you can head down to Tesco at midnight as you would have done, then when the Gameplay copy arrives the next morning you simply take that shrink-wrapped copy back to Tesco and get your money back.

How'd you manage to save 20 per cent?

Have to say, it's been many a year since I've seen shops selling games at the full RRP. Going back a few years, I recall paying £65 for ISS64. Jeeze EB took some cash off me in the N64 days.

I'm getting the 360 version because of the donwloadable content, as in extra maps/cars/missions etc. I'll pop out and buy it in the shops, Tesco always has it cheaper and i'm not fussed about getting it on release date, although I doubt it will sell out, they never have, at least where I live.

I'm gonna buy at midnight like I did with forza 2 and PGR4.
PGR4 was wank, and by about 3am I was bored, and pissed off i'd waited up all night for it.
Think i'm gonna get it for the xbox as the PS3 won't have the dl content.
