Im thinking about renting a server for hardcore use only with all maps on,

Let me know if anyone is interested in putting into the pot and youll get admin rights, which if you didnt know now, allows you to choose the next map, even if its not in sequence

I do think the new maps will rock in hardcore mode but it will be bit of a recon camp fest

Good thanks Xtraboost, we did San Francisco and a nice drive down the west coast. Also ALOT of wine tasting in Napa Valley which was great (as far as I remember). Was saying to THJ the other day I haven't seen you around in a good while, will have to get a game or 2 in soon although 'er indoors is dragging me to Belfast all this weekend to do Christmas shopping. I like the new maps and last night was good crack on the PH server. Was funny with the enemy all hiding in the drain. Got the award for crawling through it but not a place i would camp.

Really struggled tonight, controller felt different, gun failed to shoot on a few occasions when pressing the button.. wtf?

Maybe its me and being a bit tired. The haven't sorted out the air radar on the stingers. oh well

Doing the update the now. 10% done and only 73 minutes left to go.

I think I shall be picking the BT Internet hamster off the floor soon as the poor thing won't well to working.

There seems to be a "new type" of lag too - several times I've unloaded a full magazine on people who appeared to be standing still only to not see a single hit marker and be one shot killed.

Haven't seen that before in all the hours I've racked up to date, but it seems to happen around once a game since the patch.

Had about 5mins on new map Epicentre, impression is not to bad although you still get a bit of the low sun like in noshar canal.
Bored of assasain creed so will be back on it a bit more.

Anyone working their way through the assignments?

I've racked up the 150m (total of) headshots for each of the carbine, assault and sniper rifles to unlock the scoped Xbow, but the drop on the normal bolt is ridiculous!

At about 100yds with the normal bolt, I am way below the bottom arrow on the (7x?) scope and onto the central indicator line, which suggests to me that you need the balanced bolt to get the 150m headshot with the Xbow needed for the assignment. If that's the case, then you have to get 50 sniper rifle kills and 10 pistol headshot kills to unlock the balanced bolt before you can even start trying to get your 150m headshot!

Oh well, camping at MCOMs with the scoped .44 it is then!

I just hope that the balanced bolt is a one hit kill for a headshot at 150m+. I'm reasonably sure I've had headshots at around 100m with the normal bolt and not got an instant kill.

Welcome aboard – liked your use of the special password phrase ‘powerfully built directors’! As mentioned, would be good to get some PH tags so we don’t kick you, move you unnecessarily – can be done in Battlelog, Your Profile, Edit Profile. Also, if you fancy it apply to the PH platoon then you can take part in the matches that we have against other platoons. Next ones next week – more to follow.

I am, but behind you on getting the scope. Have you got the explosive bolt yet? If you think the drop on the normal bolt is ridiculous, then you’re going to love it on that! 3 pistol headshots so far - my tactic is sneaking up on Snipers, probably need to switch back to old maps to find them in their old haunts. Strange lack of snipers so far on the new maps.

Opposition: FACT (Allaloneatrons German ‘mates’), Fact_Leckiteng69 in my battlelog friends.
Maps: TBA probably Conquest. Agreed rules – no tac lights, no M26, no c4 on flags.

Date/Time: Friday 7th December 10.30pm
Opposition: Cobra, Cobra-SgtStryker in my Battlelog Friends – we’ve played these guys three times, winning each time but each has been a close match
Maps: TBA probably Rush. At the moment this will only be 8 players.

Who is in? Please be clear on whether you want Thursday, Friday or Both?! I’m holding a place for tron for Thursday + Tron - do you want to pick our map, needs to be an original or B2K one?

Think I've got 3 pistol headshots too - mainly from blasting people at close range with the 93R and getting lucky. I know a fool proof way to get pistol headshots though: Operation Firestorm Rush defending, recon (for the spawn beacon), with a scoped .44 magnum.

Every set of Mcoms has at least one spot where you can hide/camp and nail people who come in to arm them - it's how I unlocked my MCOM defending medal the hard way. You just have to remember to get up and move to a new spot after the kill to make it look like you're not camping on their kill cam so you can get them on their second attempt too.

I'll do that tonight and then work on the 150m headshot once I've unlocked the balanced bolt. I'm reasonably handy with a sniper rifle, with headshots out to 400m are pretty routine on stationary targets, so hopefully the cross bow one should be a cinch.

Haven't unlocked the explosive bolt, just need the 5 C4 kills for that.

Have unlocked the scan bolt, but haven't tried it yet.
