Haha, it's like the game knew!

Must be due a decent prize soon. Minimum cash for a while now, though yesterday I won....sports suspension....about as useless as it gets.

I've not won any of the other parts you can't buy like carbon driveshafts yet either. How long would you have to play the game before you won carbon driveshafts for everything that they could be fitted to?! laugh

It did make me laugh as I only won about 6000 from the race! I think the GT gods felt sorry for me.

I wasn't aware of these special parts that you cannot buy. Apparently there is also an ultra high rpm turbo for the R32 GT-R, Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari F40

Yes I have actually won the ultra high rpm turbo for the R35, it's for the Nismo version too. I can't remember how much it added but it's a decent chunk of bhp

So actually I have won one thing you can't buy. Rest of the parts have just been stock items

Here you go look, the Ultra High RPM turbo adds 46bhp over the High RPM. Not a bad uplift

Well that's the first time that's happened, in I have no idea how many attempts. Must be at least 50. Lapping a backmarker at Le Mans in the half hour race.

Anticipated that the rain just starting to show on the indicator would be heavy just as I was about to end the second lap, so dived in for inters. They then struggled round for a a decent amount of the third lap, so had a two minute lead already by the fourth lap. Would have lapped more, but I had to come in for fuel for the last lap

Still haven't found a car that will do the eighth lap - I've only been trying in normally tuned cars though, rather than glitch tuning a car down below 700pp.

Spent a bit of time playing the last couple of days....who'd have guessed a broken toe and having to WFH would allow so much gaming time...😂

Completed the Super license finally. Haven't done much of it recently, but wanted to get it out the way and tackle Spa with the 917. Holy moly, don't touch the wet eh. First clean lap I got a 2:26, 1 second off gold. So there's plenty in the tank. I reckon I could get to a 23(with controller). Damn good fun when it stays on the dry.

Nearly finished all the spicy missions. Just the LeMans 24minutes to do. Then onto the hour endurance races.

Thoroughly enjoying my inability to drive or walk much. 😂

I feel your pain, I got this from roulette back last week. I do sit there and wonder what the point of some of these cars is in a game like this.
Can't complain too much though, I had 100k credits from a gold bar on a 3 star ticket yesterday and 30k the day before from a 1 star.

I won my first online daily race today biggrin

I am no where near the best so I am normally happy with 6th or better but to win one was great. Downside, I got pushed up to a C/S so its back to mid table for me. beer

Just completed the 800pp race at Spa using the Beetle GT3 car.
Wet's are completely pointless. Inters are great. Quite a frustrating race with the tyres to be honest. But plugged away and last 15 minutes or so I pitted for RH from Inters and despite being dead last not long before, worked my way through and finished first with a 60 second lead.

I think the Beetle GT3 is the best GT3 car at the moment. Will definitely be using it more.

I had to read "But Plugged" twice...

I should do this race more often. But it scares me because I want the full credits for a win and it would be a bit st to sit there for an hour and not get the victory laugh. Spending way to much time doing the Le Mans one.

Le Mans is a good way of comparing cars though. I've mostly been picking one of the cars I have won and not modified, spend credits to get it up to 700pp or thereabouts and then getting more money back by doing the race. And buying the occasional new car to try out.

And it's a good way for me to practice using manual gears because I have never used them (apart from license tests where it helps or is necessary) and Le Mans is quite a simple track to use them.

So might give the Beetle a go round Spa. I have noticed it's one of those cars the sim race lot use often, Super GT did a video the other day where most people were using it round Kyoto

😂😂😂

It's a crazy race for sure, and somehow I got a clean race bonus, so 1.5m nearly. I was worried for a while that I'd not even finish top ten.

You don't use manual gears 😮😮😮😮 what is this heresy?!

It was the Peugeot GT3 car before, but now it's the Beetle as the go to.

The gr3 Subaru was also the go to car in gr3 it was better with the first race c at Daytona different set ups found by different players meant first it was the Audi then the Rx vision then a Ferrari tune was found also had a big mix if cars people used. Since bop took hold just meant one car is usually the quickest. It's even worse with gr4 unless you have the Subaru you may as well forget it. Wish they bring back tuning over bop stuff.

I think the win vs loss is basically down to the luck of when the rain hits.........And how much of a naughty sausage the AI is going to be.

Cases in point my last two races - about 20 minutes to go, a car attempts to overtake me and just smashes me off the road, into the gravel. I try to get back but then I am down to 19th place..... I should be able to get back on the pack with that much time left and they were bunched up so engine mode 2 and off we go. I head past the pits and the heavens opened. I tip toe around sliding off left right and centre. Race lost.

Other race I am heading into the penultimate corner when the rain comes down hard, pit for inters and I win having lapped everyone once and from 5th twice.....

On that note, the weather radar is not exactly reliable is it?? It can be clear at 15 miles but rain is falling on the track!!

It’s ridiculously easy to win at Spa!
Use the 787b, F1 long tail, pretty much anything decent.
I’m currently using the GTR Nismo GT500 ‘16 and it’s effortless.
You can be in first place 20 seconds into the 3rd lap.
Keep it on map 1 for the whole race.

My last race there…
Did about 8 laps, the rain was only light, so stopped for fuel only.
Rain for another 6 or so laps until the rain came heavier, then swapped for wets and no fuel.
Another 5 or so laps while the track dried a bit, then a final swap to hard tyres and full refuel.
Race to the end and either be a lap ahead, or if 2nd is further behind than the time left of the race just sit at the line and cross to win as soon as it hits zero.

With heavier rain it’s pretty much the same, just stay on hard tyres until wets are needed, and then swap back to inters or hard depending on how quick it’s drying

I know, for shame.

It's probably been making those circuit experiences that much more difficult too. I just don't feel I have the rhythm. It's fine accelerating, it's braking and turning and shifting down all together that's the problem

I've played all the numbered games to death as well, never bothered to learn

What are peoples general techniques for getting cars like that to 800pp? I tried the other day pissing about with the 787b but got bored and sacked it off

Are you taking down the power and bumping up the ballast, or doing the Tomahawk method by making the gearing janky?
