So how about next week - PCC for race 1 and Procar for race 2 ?

http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=BMW%20...

Someone suggest a track this week.

Other mods previously suggested are:

Caterhams http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Caterh...
V8 Supercars http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=V8Fact...
Open Wheelers
Octavia http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Skoda%...
Epsilon Euskadi http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Epsilo...
WTCC BMW E90 http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=WTCC%2...

or add something else to the list.

The PCC follows the F1 Series no ?

Anyway I think it would be best to have a shorter series next to maintain interest - maybe 9 weekends ? Back to the 3 race sprint format ?

Circuits I was thinking of, basically have been F1 circuits at some point, are:

Imola
Istanbul Park
Jarma
Kyalami
Singapore
Paul Ricard
Zolder
Abu Dhabi
Suzuka
Shanghai
Anderstorp
Bharain
A1 Ring
and Portimao

Add to it comments etc. Car mod yet to be decided, but ideally we should make a start by the start of October.

I've no issues running the same tracks as before - will make setting up the calender easier wink

Portimao does look good though - so we may have to include it smile

Pretty sure it was Thruxton that we changed out for Pembrey.

How about we remove Mallory, Silverstone and Mondello - this makes it a 9 track series.

We could give Portimao a go this weekend ?

Don't know about anyone else but I think the Porsches and the Caterhams would work around UK tracks, could we one or the other (or both biggrin) this weekend at Portimao? Doesn't matter if you haven't driven the circuit yet as it's only to give the cars an airing to see what anyone else thinks of them, which they prefer.

Does that sound ok?
I love the caterhams, so yep, race 1 is can be the Porsche and race 2 the Caterhams. Will get the server sorted out this evening.

Ps.

I have installed mUtil - http://users.telenet.be/viperius/mUtil/ which enables you to check servers online without having to start up rFactor, and join any server via it. But the old rFactor server still appears in the list not the current one. Is it possible to disable the old one to try and force the new one to appear in the list? Perhaps set up the new ones server settings the same way as the old one, with the extra announce setting?

Thanks, PPs it looks like this below. smile

I've managed to get back in to the old server and shut it down, so now it should just be the new one visable.

I tend to use this programme:

http://www.planetpointy.co.uk/software/rfactorsspy...

It's a bit more versitile, but I have found that it takes a while for the servers to show up - there seems to be some sort of lag associated with it - mind you I know nothing about this sort of stuff so someone else may fair better with it.

so what do you guys want to test this weekend ?

I enjoyed the PCC cars again (although I need to sort my driving style out so that I don't continually cook the fronts on understeer !)

I'll sort the new series out shortly....

Brands Indy is always fun, the PCC cars are not bad but with a circuit as twisty as that I think the R500s would be more entertaining.
For some reason lots of prople had problems with the Caterhams mod last weekend.

I'll pop brands indy on the server running PCC for this weekend as I don't have much time at the minute.

Is this the right version, I remember somethign a little while back about using the wrong one - FWD ?

[quote=SlipStream77]We really need to re-formalise this series.

I have noticed several people have stated that we should run the 'Enduracers' mod, I have been driving these cars over the past several days and they are superb. The server I use has seen 20-30 drivers at times and some great racing.

http://enduracers.com/projects_endurance.html

There are 4 classes, GT2, GT1, P2 and P1, each successive class is faster. If we had enough drivers, we could run multiple classes, maybe we should have a recruitment drive for our league. (Pun kind of intended wink)

ETA. Thanks MJ for all the work you put in, you're doing a great job. smile

How about a few endurance races then during December, when the PCC cup finishes ? Maybe some 30+ minute races to finish off the year ?

Imaging it - 40 minute race, 15 PH'ers up against 20 AI cars of different classes and each other.... oohh that sounds good smile
