It was good to get back to gta again last night and catch up with a few of you 
First person mode is definitely better on foot or motorbike. Hard to place cars on the road and judge oversteer etc in races and landing copters is tricky. Graphics look awesome on a UHD tv 
I need to buy some cars tonight, only have a zentorno at the mo. Golf is a bit trickier it seems, best I could get was a -8. if anyone's up for golf, missions or general silliness later I'll be about

I just got the slip of paper out of the game box with the pre-order bonus code, went to the PSN store on the main hub, redeemed code, returned to game, money was there in both single and multiplayer.
The crew membership actually transfers with you.
So you are still a member with the same crew rank.
I actually joined the PS3 crew (and updated the wiki) and discovered that my crew rank reset to zero... Which locks things like crew paint and tyre smoke.
So for now I am remaining in both crews.

Jobbo, that's a bummer that tesco didn't deliver, I ordered from them and it was on the mat when I got home.
I could get it to download the update until I has run through the first bit of single player, then it downloaded fine.
1st person driving is a bit awkward, you can't really see enough, it's a bit more realistic in that you're flying down the road at warp factor 10 and a car appears from nowhere and you crash - pretty much like it would in real life. You forget just how much you can see in 3rd person.
It can be disorientating too. I was in a sand king jumping over big hills etc, all I saw was sky.. ground.. sky.. ground.. no idea at all which way I was heading.
Definitely more real.
Being a passenger in first person is interesting, djdest gave me a lift down the mountain, I only closed my eyes once
When flying you really have to fly by the gyroscope, especially in the titan.
1st person is better than 3rd on a bike though. You actually see more and feel more like you're right there.
There are lots of little effects - sand/dust blowing across the highway by the prison, lights reflecting in car paintwork at night, scraps of paper blowing in the wind, puddles when it rains. I was out at the sandy shores airstrip at night and turned the torch on when aiming with a gun and it showed up bugs etc flying around.
Did some gang attacks in first person and a mission or two, it's good, the scope on a rifle that zooms in a bit is much more useful now. I prefer it to battlefield as a shooter and whatever the other FPS was that came out when the PS4 did.
You can walk while holding a sniper rifle now, don't think you could before? You can also chuck a grenade while armed with a rifle too.
Using the touch pad to change weapon/radio station works well and using the light to indicate the cops are after you is better, the map still flashes but it's toned down so less distraction.
If you have a PS4 I think it's a no brainer to get it. If you like your gaming and have a few quid spare I don't see a reason not to get a PS4. There are bundles around for £400 with a yeasts psn, gta, the last of us and another game too, pretty good value when the digital copy of the games are £50+. I reckon it could drop in price after Christmas too if Xbox sales increase (I read somewhere it had a price drop? )

I wondered if yours would have arrived - pleased it did! I think Tesco use Royal Mail, and rather suspiciously I never get any post on a Tuesday so I think the local sorting office are saving costs by not sending postmen on rounds on quiet days.

Im quite suprised actually as i heard rumours of them increasing the top speed, so this may be worked out at a later date with a patch.

well after a 55 minute wait on the phone to playstation support to find out where my console was, i finally got through to someone. Console arrived at their repair centre on the 17th and should be back anytime before the 27th. Thought the bloody thing got lost in transit as i should of had an automated email to say it arrived!
Oh and no joy with the PS+ thing. Worth a shot!

Sorry I seemed to ignore the two invites I got last night, I must of been away from the screen when they arrived and I didn't see them until I was about to switch it off!

I claimed my pre-order cash before I'd even loaded the game, and it worked fine.
So my first impressions are that the game definitely looks a lot nicer, had no problems transferring character, claiming pre-order money, etc. First person mode is really cool, but agree it's a bit more difficult to drive, but will just take getting used to I guess - had a quick race on 4-way madness with Arkose and tried to do it all in 1st player mode, and was a complete disaster :-)
Was hoping the load times would be quicker, but they seem the same. Nice not to get any redraw when going full pelt in a supercar.
Anyone fancy seeing if we can get a 30x crew player Long Haul going later?

haha.. I was in first person too! - no excuse! i actually find driving in first person actually better.. quite easy actually, if a bit nauseating.. Going to try and get into this. It seems pretty good up to now but not done much of it at all. Feel free to add Cbull_23.
Some help please. My son tried to setup a online party but he had previously skipped the Tutorial. Now he can't seem to invite or join unless he completed the tutorial. Problem is we can't find the option to do it, does anyone know how to select it? He's already tried to create another character but he can't use him as the pre order money doesn't transfer.
