Shipment - hardcore tdm is chaos I love it.
I HATE Piccadilly though i'd rather never play that map again in my life.
I was doing a challenge the other day where I needed 70 shotgun killsI HATE Piccadilly though i'd rather never play that map again in my life.
Select Shipment only mode and completed in about 30 mins
Piccadilly isn't great again on something like Hardpoint it's a bit better but still largely meh
Downloaded last night but didn't get a chance to play. It didn't take too long to download but it's the 'copying files' thing that starts after the download itself that takes an age. There's a decent breakdown of what's changed for Season 2 here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1mTwWKdHjM
For Season 1 I bought the more expensive battle pass that includes 20 tier skips, as i had enough COD points built up from years of never using them that it was, at the point of purchase at least, free. It also seemed good value too where you earned enough COD points back if you completed all 100 tiers that it paid for itself. However despite skipping the first 20 tiers i only made it to around tier 70. The consensus seemed to be that it was a very slow grind to get through the tiers. So this time i used my remaining points to get the basic one and left it at that.
Some interesting changes with the update. The ones that interested me were the boosts to the 'Spotter' perk. I run it quite a bit and i'm surprised it isn't more popular. People tend to run E.O.D instead, but the downside to E.O.D is that if you walk through a door and trip a claymore, you're likely to be killed by whoever was on the other side of it as you're so weak. Using Spotter you know it's there, which gives you the option to either 'nade it, use a different door, not go through the door in the first place etc etc and the rest of your team can see it too. I've also picked up quite a few kills just from seeing that there were claymores on either side of a room so you know someone is in it. So i'd watch the window from the outside for a second or two and pick them off when they inevitably appeared in it looking for an easy snipe.
Now they've moved the 'hack explosives' ability from E.O.D to Spotter, making it even better. But the most important bit in the update for me, picked up on it the video above, is that they're developing the ability to hack claymores and so on through walls. At the moment you can place a claymore behind a door so that it's impossible to hack from outside the room as to get close enough to hack it, you trigger it. To be able to hack through walls gets rid of the problem and is anti-camper as a result Hope they get it in the game soon.

Battle Royal is coming. Once you download it all the update you get a clip and glimpse at the map. Looks huge and complex. The only other battle royal game I've played is firestorm on battlefield so unsure how a much faster game pace of COD will do with it but we will see.

I’m on PS4.
Downloading update file, 51GB. A total of 45 mins.
Is that the only update needed or will there be a COD update too?
I had a spare hour whilst the baby is asleep and here I am looking at an update yet again
This! FFS! I don't get to go on that much anymore. When I turned the PS4 the other day I was greeted by a load of 10gb downloads for APEX and I'm sure COD. Downloading update file, 51GB. A total of 45 mins.

Anyway come on tonight (23:17) to find it's a whole fking game it appears it needs to download..... I'll stick with Brawhalla and Rocket League
I will give Activision credit where it is due on this new game.
Since I started playing the original MW (COD4) back in the day I would have to pay about £15 a quarter to play on 3 or 4 new MP maps. This year it appears so far to be all free. I don't care if most of them are old maps either, as the ones they are bringing back are some of the best maps.
They way they seem to be making money this time is by selling battle packs and they must be selling a few as I am seeing loads of players with weird and wonderful attire. For me though I wont be spending a penny as it don't interest me. It would be interesting to see just how much money has been lost or even made with this new battle pass system vs the old Map pack.

I would bet that over time they'll be better off with this latest monetisation model. There won't be that separation in the community as hardcore fans move onto new maps leaving those who think £50 for a game is more than enough playing the base maps.
Also those who are tight like me might go weak and buy a gun pack or new skin....... (Must resist)
