I do sense people are getting very frustrated with the game hardly any new content no new tracks no new missions very little communication at all.
Daily races are very stable no strategy no dynamic weather grid gaps between cars way to large just kills the racing. The lobbies themselves bit hit and miss. The manufacture cup time slots make zero sense the first race the race overlaps the time hour so can't enter the next one.
The bop is broken unless you have the Subaru forget it. We have a fantastic tunning section to use which was great in the first weeks but everything is bop.

Lobbies haven't been touched can't edit once a lobby is open have to re set all settings every time which is so annoying.

They seem to be more interested in adding new scapes and fixing wheel colours etc that they are forgetting we use the game to race.

I think they have major issues with the split between PS4 and ps5 they can't use all the features available in ps5 as the PS4 players won't be able to use it so are holding back on content.

I haven't picked this up l since the new update. Currently not that bothered either now.
I know it's only 4 months old but pretty much everyone is fked off with it.

I don't have the time to spend "grinding" and I have zero interest in owning every car, but I want to own one's like the CLK-GTR, a couple is special ferarria and the Mazda 787B, that's quite a haul in terms of credits. I haven't got that sort of time.
I guess for me, the thing that frustrates me the most is the broken economy within the game.

Not even sure it's that yo be honest, we've had to buy a game that feels like it has less to do it in that GT Sport in it's most recent guise and with a lot of very basic functions from that game missing also, such as being able to change races while in a lobby. Even GT5 had that 'feature'.

It feels at this point more like a vanity project for Polyphony at the moment with just trying to make the game look pretty and getting manufacturers to design VGT cars they can put in the game without having to put in the work to 3d scan real cars instead. Most of the posts on GT's social media all seem to be scapes based to try and show just how nice it is to look at with very little mention of car or race content.

The most annoying thing of all today is that they've put in the known faults notice a list of problems the game has had since day one yet they're only now just even recognising these issues exist and still not fixing them.

I can only hope that they're working on a mega big release where > 90% of all the user's issues and concerns will be addressed in one fell swoop, which is why we're just seeing these small updates so far.

They best get it out soon though, because the community is getting very restless.

Agreed. I always have a quick browse around GT Planet to see what's on the updates and even some of the people on there who blindly defend GT no matter what are getting impatient with it now. 4 months or so into a release and people getting bored/turning a game off is pretty bad.

I did one of each of the daily races earlier on and all was working well then. Haven't tried the random lobbies though

Lobbies are dreadful cars jumping around everywhere no idea where the car in front actually is.

Agree, I'm a casual gamer and it would take me years to afford any of the expensive cars. The best way to earn credits seems to be from the circuit experience but thats a one time deal. Plus, GT7 are taking the mick with the roulette - 'smallest money' has become a phrase in our house.

The best way to earn credits currnetly is the Le Mans 30 minute 700PP race. With the clean race bonus (which is quite hard to lose) it's 825,000 credits for just over 30 minutes of racing (depending on timing).

The weather is fairly variable there so the race isn't the same every time, and it's quite fun taking different cars there to see how they do. For the sake of a quick 40 minute session say, it's a good little earner.

Realistically, as a casual gamer it's always going to take you ages to 'complete' a game, but you're casual so it shouldn't bother you hehe The problem they have with pandering too much to casual gamers is then the (significantly more vocal) hardcore gamers piss and moan about how it's too easy and dumbed down for children or whatever (look at Forza Horizon, it can't stop throwing money and cars at you).

Some more half hour races that earned similar amounts would be welcome, or just make the custom race stuff reward you similarly for a half hour race.

Agreed. If they address the online racing I think that would be a significant step in pleasing the majority.

As well as stability and functionality, the imbalance in credit awards for online racing is key.

I've not had a huge amount of time lately. I try to pop on and do my daily miles but not much more.

Yeah I agree with this. I wouldn't like it if it was say, do a half hour race and win 3,000,000. So I think the rewards for races are about right

I agree the roulette's need fixing though, as I think we all do. Would be much better if it was genuinely a 1/5 chance of winning the prizes.

I've only being playing it sporadically recently, jumping on to get the driving marathon. The roulettes seem to be firing prize cars at me - there were three on the wheel yesterday.

Luckily (!) I'm not winning them (because I already have them) and it's giving me the "smallest money"

If they fixed roulette, and made some more races where you can win cars, and made it so you could sell cars, I think the game would be in a pretty decent place, but playing it less recently I've realised I'm not missing it, and I feel like I probably won't be playing it anymore in a few weeks. There's other games I want to play

Yeah the roulette thing seems pointless, it's pre-determined what prize you get, and realistically, I think I've had the 'smallest money' result all but maybe 5 times, which then typically involved getting crap parts for cars I didn't have (a sports suspension for example...). Having the other things shown only gives a negative impression really, if we just got a 5,000 credit prize for completing a daily marathon, we'd think nothing more of it.

The fact there's no benefit to consecutive daily marathons is a bit of a shame, means there's not even any reward for jumping on just to keep the streak going.

Selling cars would be nice, partially for the credit boost but also just to get rid of loads of the dross that I have no interest in driving.

For a month or more now I’ve been in a rut where I am literally doing Spa or Le Mans, and just building up cash as there isn’t many cars I want now. There are still a lot I don’t have, but nothing takes my fancy.
I was up to about 30m until the McLaren F1 appeared so I grabbed that and now back to about 13.
I enjoy those 2 races, so it’s nice to spend an hour on it, but even then I win every time and there isn’t much of a challenge.
I’ve run out of steam a bit with liveries, but do still love making them. The problem is finding ones to make that haven’t already been done dozens of times already.
I still have some circuit experiences and missions to do, maybe I’ll get back into those at some point.

What car do people use for Spa? I’ve found the best to be the ‘16 GT-R Nismo GT500, on RH tyres I’m lapping around 1.12.3xx at best

Just a question on liveries, since I used the editor for the first time last week. If someone else has already done a livery for a car I own, can I just download the whole thing and apply it in one step to my car? I was finding I had to create all the layers myself and apply each decal one by one?

Go into the GT Auto page where you choose wheels and click on editor, then open livery and apply it.
First you have to find one in the showcase and add it to your collection, then it will appear in the selection where you choose and apply one

CLK GTR is my number 1 choice. If there's no rain before the half hour mark you can get to about 28 mins on Fuel 3 and do it as a one or two stop depending on how the rain comes from there and what tyres you need
