Yes, mine is on it's way too! 9 days after I ordered it...
So they deliver to the UK? Excellent. I looked around for UK retailers but no luck.Seems to be the best dock option at the moment, the other being the mobile Anker hub which isn't a dock and has a short fixed cable and suboptimally arranged USB-C connector.

Sorted Epic out yesterday before reading about heroic. Still need to install Origin and GOG. Is it worth using heroic what exactly does it do ?
It's just a conduit for the Epic and GOG libraries. Make sure you go into desktop mode when installing stuff, otherwise the progress doesn't update and it looks like it has crashed. You then add heroic as a non steam game for easy access.Zoon said:

It's not 100% straightforward though. I managed to get it installed on my Steamdeck with some faffing around but savegames don't seem to 'stick' ... they work when you are playing the game (in this case, Wolfenstein TNO) but if you quit the game and relaunch it, they are gone. Very annoying. I also have a copy running under Heroic on my main PC and this now refuses to run telling me that my credentials have expired and I need to re-login but no matter how many times I do that in Heroic, no dice. Very frustrating.
Strange, it's worked perfectly on mine for all games. What faffing around did you have? You literally just click install from the apps section on desktop mode.

That means you ideally need to have a proper keyboard and mouse and have it hooked to a monitor. I was having to do it all on the deck itself using a virtual keyboard and touchscreen mouseWhat faffing around did you have? You literally just click install from the apps section on desktop mode.
Got Heroic instelled, got Wolf installed, all looks good except that save games just 'disappear' between loads of the game. And my PC copy (also running under Heroic) now doesn't want to start which might be a coincidence or might be due to having logged in on the Steam Deck.
I had to use flatseal to allow Heroic to access my SD card (which is where I've decided to put the Epic stuff along with smaller Steam games, my main SSD is rapidly filling with the larger AAA Steam titles. It's possible that this is related to my save game woes.
Also have to manally select Proton 7.0 to get Wolf to run, it was defaulting to Proton Experimental which it didn't seem to like. I tried installing Wonder Boy from the Epic store and it won't run at all but I only tried those two versions of Proton, there might be other tweaks.
I've since managed to re-login to my Epic account on the main PC which has fixed the issues running Wolf there.

Installed Half Life 2 (I'd never completed it when I first played it all those years ago). I can't aim with the Steam Deck analogue sticks at all. So i just installed Half Life 2 on my gaming PC and am getting on fine.
I really thought HL2 would be a good game for the Steam Deck but my accuracy sucks so bad and there is no point in plugging in a mouse n keyboard when that is already there setup with my gaming pc.
Back to the drawing board for inspiration.

I let my pre order slide for this.
I didn't realise quite how large they would be. Travel is the main reason for having one but since I'll be lugging a laptop that does all the same stuff there's not much point in one of these too.
I'll be interested to see how much cleverness is applied to these. I expect there'll be tons of interesting developments.

Gyro aim is what you want for accurate shooting. Takes a bit of practive but it's very satisfying.I really thought HL2 would be a good game for the Steam Deck but my accuracy sucks so bad and there is no point in plugging in a mouse n keyboard when that is already there setup with my gaming pc.

I had to turn gyro aim off on mine when playing the half life games, it seemed to make it even harder to aim smoothly and accurately for me! And before you ask now I don't have the shakes or an unsteady hand either!
