Cheers Dingu, I've got PS+ so whenever I get hold of a PS5 it should be all good.

Not an issue for me, I’m on PS5. You are right but the poster I responded to hasn’t indicated PS+ or not. Either way he will be able to continue his game save upon changing console. smile

P.s. 10 mins for anyone truly dedicated!

Well I managed to download the PS5 version eventually. Played the musically themed bit that it lets you access whilst it’s downloading. It’s very good although the fixed chase camera is still a disappointment- and little things like no skid marks from the tyres and no damage bar very minor cosmetics are a little off for a 2022 game. Graphically it looks decent though, not up to Forza Horizon 5 Standard. Handling seems more intuitive than GT Sport.

Looking forward to getting stuck in at the weekend. I don’t play online or even have PS Plus, but if a good club comes from PH I’d be tempted to get it.

I’ve really got to go to bed frown

Those of you (most?) going for disc version; what is the advantage when you have to download to the hard drive anyway? Is it a smaller install than the digital version? Appreciate there is resale potential with the disc but doubt you'll be getting rid of the game for years!
I got the disc version as it was £5 cheaper from Amazon. I got the £5 voucher from signing up to an Amazon music free trial last month, so all in £10 cheaper than the digital one.

I don't really use the disc drive, so keeping the disc in the PS5 is no problem.

I also guessed that it would download and install the whole game as well which it seems to have done, (no obvious disc spinning after the start up disc check).

As said, you can also sell it, take it to a mates house( if anyone does that anymore) etc.

I purchased the top bundle of GTS (that was a mistake) you could get the base game for £25 within a couple of weeks and £20 a couple of weeks later (poor sales figures perhaps).

The game will most likely be reduced at some stage, so if you really would prefer digital then you could always buy it in the future and sell the disc version on.

Plus, it arrived a day early too biggrin.

I played a bit last night and really liked it! I like the new physics, not quite ACC but still good, sound is better and generally more immersive than sport, it looks and feels very polished.

Had a quick play for a couple of hours last night.

First impressions using Quality mode over Performance is that it looks pretty damned impressive. Had to have a couple of goes on the Music Rally, and managed to shave a little off my initial time, then did a couple of the first licence tests.

Will reserve judgement until after the weekend but so far so good and glad I went digital as I was playing it at the stroke of midnight last night.

The problem I have always had with GT new games is they are not really entirely new, usually a lot of what is there is from the older games or the most recent one, tracks, liveries, they don't even try and make it look fresh, they just charge a bunch of money and all you essentially is a mega patch for GT Sport with slightly better everything.

You can't blame them, this has worked amazingly for over 20 years, the game is still essentially the same as it always was.

I would never pay new buy money for GT games and will only buy a 5 when my 4 becomes useless, I don't need it or want it.

But millions will and so it carries on!

I think given how pissy people got about GT Sport "not being a proper GT game", they're hardly likely to mix it up and make it a first person shooter after 25 years just to satisfy people who are seemingly disillusioned with the state of everything.

Played the music rally and got my first licence (all gold) plus a few of the basic races in the crap supermini's.
Physics seems much better than Sport and the AI in normal mode seem better. I do hope we can have some actual races with proper starts like in the old days rather than the whole stringing out the other drivers rolling start rubbish they seem fixated on.

Still way too many button presses to do anything but at least you can skip through the dialogue now to speed things up. Still takes an age to collect prizes and the little cut scenes between everything get very tedious very quickly.

Got my 3 cars for the pre-order but not seen the 100k yet. Assume it comes later, not that it's an issue as the game hoses you in cash for pretty much any achievement.

I’d forgotten about the Hooked On Classics, will probably play them the next time I’m out for a spirited drive in the country, they suit that quite well

I was worried I’d done something wrong in my order. As it happens, I didn’t go to bed until I’d made 100k in credits. smile

I also got all gold on the first license, but the next is a bit more challenging. Will complete it this evening.

I had about 60k at bedtime.

Not sure I have you on my friends list. I have friends on the leader board for the licence tests, not sure if you are one of them.

Do we need a GT7 PSN names thread?

Yeah, the argument is totally undermined by the last one. If it’s not for you then fair enough but at least comment factually.

Bloody AI on my apexes in music mode!!

Taking ages to download in the background from disc.

Love the replays of this little Honda, it actually looks like your ringing the neck out of it.

Massive thing for me on the replays, because I use a controller the front wheels turning always looked notchy, this looks very smooth now.

Only an hour in so far, but very much enjoying it.
Only thing I’m not liking is the sound effect on the conversations, thankfully they will never be seen again once I’ve worked through each one.
Had a quick look at my decals collection, it’s transferred only a handful of my own uploaded ones from Sport, and none of my collection of other players. I really hope that is something that can be transferred over or 5 years of finding them is lost frown

Been playing for a few hours this morning. up to 500 collectors point and 350,000 credits.

The talking bits are annoying, but you can skip them. There is an option to allow you to.
Why does it insist on doing a reply every race? I never watch them
It seems to easy, even with AI on top level. They also need to limit the races, for a sunday cup in little hatches, my GTO ruined them. fun, but pointless. I'm playing by the rules now.

Everything loads so fast, it's brilliant
Graphics are something else

All in all it's a good game. Stirs up memories of playing with mates at 2am

Was the same in GT sport.

Mine should be downloaded, checked my app and it's showing as 98GB. Hopefully good to go when I'm home!
