Gran Turismo Sport PS4
Discussion
That's true..I don't know anything about computer/gaming stuff, but I guess it must just be easier to use a few cars/tracks, I prefer the "driving" feel of AC, but the online leader boards and racing keeps me on GTS, I never played any of the other Gran Turismo games but I understand they had loads of tracks and cars, seems strange that they're not in GTS.
Could it be to do with E-Sports and the FIA link?
Some of the cars seem ridiculously undergripped.
You race eg the E30 M3 and its dreadful. With bop you can’t change its settings to suit your driving style. Even previous owners are saying how bad it is. Like they put it on some budget ditchfinder remoulds.
Just gets a bit silly and ruins the fun. They are more like drift tyres really, you can do some great powerslides if you don’t mind being a bit slow round the track.

I don't know what it is they're trying to create, is the avg gamer interested in esports? I guess if you're alien fast then an FIA sanctioned championship would be great, for me I don't do the nations or manufacturers regularly so I don't really care Some of the cars seem ridiculously undergripped.

I like the fact that I don't have to tune the cars or adjust settings, I just want to sit for an hour or so and race, that's hard enough! Without having to understand the vagaries of toe this and caster that
I think we've discovered the problem...we all want something different from the same game!
On the subject of grip I prefer the road cars on their dodgy tyres, it feels like I'm doing more, don't get me wrong I enjoy a Gr1 guided missile as well...bear in mind I'm new to driving games
I personally love cars like the M3, you really have to concentrate ever second you drive it or its having an accident. What does ruin the game for me (and is why I dont play it much) is still the penalty system. When will they realise giving someone a 10s penalty for being barged off the track is not fair??? My mate constantly moans about the apparently random ghost/not ghost of the cars around him on track (maybe he likes to lean on the opposition).
The RSR changes referred to previously have killed it for me. I can't understand what it is but the car is squirming all over the place and has no traction any more. I'm over a second a lap down and the pre-update version. Now have to spend time fking about trying to find something else to use and I'm losing the will tbh.

Penalties can be frustrating and those will it won't it ghost moments remind me of that Tom Cruise film where he has to drive through the smoke and hope for the best.Actually went on for the first time in over a week today on the GT4 race around Bathurst. Only a 3 lapper, managed a 2:13.8 qualifier after 5-6 laps before the race started, started 2nd finished 2nd and turned it off again.
If the update doesn’t bring some cool stuff I’ll be back on CoD for a while, especially as I bought the new map pack last weekend and haven’t been on the console until today.

I had a nightmare on there yesterday...I like Dragons and I've been getting to grips with Panarama, except yesterday I'm suddenly 2 secs a lap slower than I was before, and It's not like I was fast before! So do the race thinking I'll get quicker...no, I don't! Switch to Dragons and same story! Think sod it I'll take the dog out, fold my playseat up, but, and it's a big but, don't put it away, downstairs getting the dogs lead on and hear a crash...oh yes, playseat has fallen on and broken the TV!
Problem is, without the campaign mode really playing as much a part as it did in old GT's this game has no stick ability.
Online Sport mode is massively hit and miss and is over and done with fairly quickly.
So, unless you enjoy painting and decaling, what is there to do.
Other than play something else11

The same cars on the same tracks.....
How many cars are in this game? Yet the same handful repeat over and over for the one make.
They could have had a different one every day and hardly repeated if at all up to now!
Nothing of great interest on the mileage exchange etc etc
I'm probably missing out on the main point of GTS which is the online racing, I only ever do qualifying time trial. How many cars are in this game? Yet the same handful repeat over and over for the one make.

But I'm not sure i actually enjoy playing the game. The visuals and sounds are great but the driving is boring. I have turned CSA on now and ABS at default - which in other driving games I'd never normally do, but everyone else does it (it is faster), I don't like the TC, and its not enjoyable enough for me to persevere without these aids. Unlike AC for example where I push myself to actually improve my driving. But I give it a half hour where I can to see where I am on my friends leaderboards, and also get my daily prize car. If I have an hour free tho, I'll do the minimum in GTS and then go play something else. AC, dirt rally, even F1 2017 (if I've got loads of time!)
