Having been told that the Nightfall is Valus with no burn, I really have no motivation to complete it on any of my characters. Think I have hit a bit of a brick wall with Destiny, I still enjoy raiding but haven't got the patience of the time to complete on hard. I do need 2 more exotics for a "complete set" but I'm not really that bothered about either really. The game definitely needs more content. House of Wolves really can't come soon enough for me.

Yep, it's yet another stupid decision from Bungie - release the first DLC 3 months after the game with a pitiful amount of new content, then make players wait 6 months for the next DLC, which will no doubt also have a pitiful amount of new content. 
I've said it before and I'll say it again, they seem determined to kill off what has the potentially to be a truly epic game.

Abyss Defiant - solar damage, burns through ammo and has very low impact. Probably one to level up and see how it fares. Nice to have options though 
Used mine today for nightfall and I like it. It's like a legendary Suros. I love my Suros and it was my first exotic, unfortunately it's been nerfed to the extent that it's not really worthy of the exotic slot.Nightfall was a lot better place to be with 3 people rather than 2. Nowhere near as much of a slog.

Having to wait this long for HOW is a bit of a piss take. I'm pretty certain that HOW itself won't be any bigger than Crota, it should be considering the length of time its taking but in reality it won't. Agree with the above, although none of us can say we haven't got our money's worth.
Having read a few articles, it would appear that previous gen is hampering what can be achieved. I think it's safe to say that the game won't have any big advancements, and hopefully Destiny 2 will be current gen only and unlock the games full potential.

Agreed, I was using mine during our / my silent NF and it was pretty handy given that it's not upgraded yet. NF went well considering that's my first without being to talk to anyone. Stimps and I plus some random did the heroic shortly after and that wasn't too bad either, we used a new (to me) hiding spot and the third guy was up on the light fitting which I still need to try. It drew a lot of fire which helped us pick him off.

Pretty much exactly what I thought. For the first time since I started doing them, I didn't do any Nightfalls or raiding on reset day and I doubt I'll even attempt the NF this week. I will probably raid at some point over the weekend but, the motivation to do hard mode is non existent - it really is just for the banter at the moment (and when I need a break from the stress that is BF competitive multiplayer!!)I'm looking forward to the HoW but, will probably only play the new content - I think I'm done with the grinding side of Destiny.

I seem to be in the minority here in not even having one No Land Beyond and feel like I'm missing out, perhaps my remaining NF will oblige. The exotic slot was made for such an awesome gun (GHorn, pah!)You do seem to be the master of obtaining multiples of guns. You must be up to, what, 7 or 8 Hawkmoons by now?

I'm still genuinely trying to find a use for the Dark Below Exotic weapons - my latest thinking is that NLB might be a good weapon for Atheon. Equip the Praetorian Foil as the secondary (one shots Oracles on hard mode) and Jolder's Hammer for the heavy slot and NLB for the primary. How much damage does it do per shot?
God knows what the point of the Fourth Horseman is - there are better legendary shotguns out there, same with Dragon's Breath.

It is a nice idea but no, it just isn't powerful enough and the reload is way too slow for it to be viable against Atheon as the time to do damage is so limited! Last time we did VOG, I went with SGA for the oracles (it literally melts them using very little ammo!) and Praedyth's revenge for Atheon because of it's stability and high rate of fire.God knows what the point of the Fourth Horseman is - there are better legendary shotguns out there, same with Dragon's Breath.
I went through a phase of doing strikes with guns that were silly - both 4th Horseman and Dragon's breath were high on that list but, it was fun to try them out
Sorry for my godawful swordbearing yesterday gents, there's a reason I've not stuck with it long enough to learn it! That said, I'd be happy to try it again, dependant entirely of course on the goodwill and patience of those participating as its something that I really should have learned by now, especially when other randoms assume a level 32 Hunter will be doing the sword!
I do like Dragon's Breath, I think it gets a lot of stick unfairly because A) it doesn't track, and B) its not Gjallarhorn. Damage output is strong, and contrary to belief most enemies caught in the solar flare don't tend to then back out instantly. It works really well on slow moving, or stationary targets; some bosses, Hydras, that sort if thing.

What an odd game.
Got the Titan to 20 just now, so then faced a quandry - which exotic do I level first? I've got Glasshouse, Insurmountable Skullfort, Helm of Inmost Light, Saint 14, Ruin Wings and Crest of Alpha Lupi. I'm thinking Ruin Wings first (in the hope the game takes the hint and finally gives me a Gjallarhorn this week!), with Helm of St 14 a close 2nd.
Anyway, threw on some other Legendary gear and jumped straight to level 26, so I can now use some of my proper gear rather than relying on crappy green and blue quality gear. Much more like it!
