Yah, sorry about that. My thanks to the crew for the hard crota run. Enjoyed it, and sorry I had to drop (I hope you finished it off). I have the last checkpoint on hard if I get time.
I got a couple of bits of raid armour (that I already had) and two new raid primaries (pulse and auto rifle).
It occurs to me (and I've just checked) that I've never actually finished a hard raid...
Had a good run through Crota normal last night..and then another one :-)
Was also doing some levelling with JimmyD....got my hunter up to level 27 (only been trying to get XP, not been trying to get marks/rep/gear) and STILL don't have a sub-class fully unlocked. One quarter of a circle to go...

Tank/Glen, I've a few questions about swordbearing on Hard;
Best setup for the raid until then is using Don't Touch Mes, is it best to stay as that or switch to Mask of the third man (for the regen, but lose the invis if a thrall hits you)?
How do you get the boomers to leave you alone without a distraction bubble?
What hit sequence do you go for? Ideally I've been trying to get 3 and 4 on the first sword then 3 and 3 on the second. I've only had a few attempts but could do with knowing at what point he enrages (heard it's 14 RT hits?).
Then on the third; hit him until he enrages (once or twice), blink strike real quick and then wait for him to go down again or just go for it on the first down?
Can't believe how much easier it is as a hunter.

My mate BRZ EVILCROOKIE runs sword as a hunter and can do Crota in 2 swords, msg him and he'll be happy to pass on the info.
We always use a distraction bubble too but we used to get one guy to snipe the boomers til they only had a little health left as that seemed to fixate them on him rather than the sword guy.

And yes, all the raid gear has variable perks. Theres 3 different versions of each piece of armour.
Aaah crap. I saw the duplicates and just sharded them. What's the betting they were brilliant perks...

k it! I've sharded loads of Helmets and the one I'm now ranking up hasn't got the perk. At least I've got one that has, I'll just have to keep swapping them around.
