Thats crap man , I would be livid.
Yea got mine on launch day from amazon. The set up was really easy. I went the usb stick route and only took 20 mins. Managed to get my upgrade to PS4 from PS3 working ok too.
Game play is great in BF4, need team work to make it really enjoyable. Had a few crashes when in Flood zone and lost all the points. thats why there is a double XP week this week.
Hope you get a chance to grab some of these extra points. Need a good chopper pilot.
see you on the Battlefield
Sounds brilliant, can't wait, hopefully get first game on Thursday evening! *Dons flight suit*

Not sure why people are so keen for China Rising, I've barely learnt the existing maps smile

Reviews of the add-on haven't been too glowing though.

Oh can anyone confirm if the official Sony PS3 bluetooth headset works on the PS4? It's still packed away in a box somewhere post house move but I'll dig it out if it's going to work.
none of the bluetooth headsets work, including the official Sony one. Apparently an update in january will fix it.

Got my turtle beach headset yesterday, works a treat. Sound quality is pretty decent, havent tested the chat quality yet.

Played few games last night, only managed to finish one, the rest crashed out on me...

Strange that so many people are reporting game crashes, not had any so far!

A matter of time I suppose.
Sometimes I crash on the first game, sometimes after few games.
Seems to affect other games as well, something wrong with PSN/XMB.

Lot of 'workarounds' on the forums, of which none actually stop the error happening, just delay it.

Following on from a conversation I had in chat party last night, I think some of you may not be aware that if you have a camera connected to ps4 the microphone is always on. You may think that we cannot hear you but we can. You have to unplug the camera to disable the mic as their is no option to do so in any of the menus.

I had an online chat with an EA rep today about my matt-don/brap issue. They tried to sort it but couldn't. Anyway they also couldn't give me any info about China Rising release date, they just acknowledged ps4 .

Humble PS3 here but 1.03 update for the main game and China Rising both available today, had to search the store for the add-on.

Downloading now.

Thanks. I saw those type of replies but unfortunately it still wasn't there. However I have been checking after every game crash this morning (so every half hour) and it is now available on PSN store. About to play.

ETA Nope, can't play it. It's downloaded and installed but keeps prompting me for premium which is already installed. Deleted and reinstalled but no go.

Is this all just EA's way of telling me to get back training?

Matt - I had to go in to BF4 and the "Premium Store" and then install a 100kb "Premium" thing - I've never seen it before (I think it might be in the PS Store too)

For those on PS3 still - I'm getting full machine lockups even more than I did before now I have v1.03 and China Rising - could be a coincidence though of course.

Cheers. Did some more trawling the net and found its a false start on ps4. You can download a tiny file but it does nothing apart from keep prompting for premium. Apparently the full file will be available later today.....

Nice of them to keep us informed. We have battle log on our screens so it's easy enough. I did have another 'chat with advisor' they were as much use as you would expect!

Had a play about in an empty server last night.

Don't like the new controls for walking and aiming. Same with driving and aiming.
I have changed to veteran controls but it's not the same.

Shall hopefully get used to it, or further play about with settings to get the rest.

Yep for those that signed up to premium on the PS3 version, you have to download a little 100k unlock file to re-activate premium on the PS4 which isn't made very clear.

Had a few games last night, but I crashed out of literally half of them.

Seems like the other PHers I was playing with did too (Snafu, Dobbin)?

I need to start using the mic that came with the console, apparently the official PS3 7.1 headset won't work until a patch is released in January. frown

Teamwork is definitely key with the additional players, and not just between two or three or you like on BF3. I think realistically you're going to need a full squad of 5 players working together (possibly in 2 or 3 vehicles) to dominate even part of the map.

The larger player count and bigger maps mean it's harder for a small group to make a big impact. It's the reason why I still prefer playing Rush if I'm lone wolfing it. The fact that you have two objectives at a time to attack or defend means the play is more focused. Off course this does mean that on the smaller maps like Operation Locker it can all get a bit...err manic biggrin

From my limited experience of the game so far, it seems that lone wolfing it just isn't an option any more - you keep running into 3, 4 or 5 people at a time so you're lucky if you even get one of them before going down in a hail of bullets. frown

99% of my time on BF3 was as a lone wolf, so I'm having to try to relearn how to play the game - trying to work as a team with strangers and no communication is tricky!

Had my first go this afternoon. After always playing cod I'm finding the different fire button a tad tricky!

Don’t worry they have changed the controls from BF3, and I think the PS3 version so we are all learning. Personally I am struggling most with spotting (so focused on keeping away from that button that I then don't hit it when I should) and equipment usage - took me four tries before I revived my first person last night.

I am ashamed to say I have yet to play Rush, in BF3 it was my favourite mode, so that is what I will be doing this evening….

Some maps are quite badly balanced for rush, at least thats what I found.
Few mates I play with from work were loving rush in BF3, but when we tried rush in BF4 they all said 'fk this, lets go back to conquest'biggrin

Seems to be more team based now. Which is a shame since I've no friends to play with since they all have Xboxs frown
