It's been a good year on here with some fun challenges and a bit of banter. I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, it's likely to be chaos for me over the next couple of days. Hopefully when I next get on my rumble setup will be working...I will let you know my thoughts smile

Have a great time guys, eat drink and be merry. I hope the big man brings you something nice when he empties his sack for you. It's go go go.

So after my first day with transponders fitted and simvibe running I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest.

I thought it would give me some clue as to what the car is doing, but really it just tells me what I can see, vibration on kerbs etc. The problem I have is that the wheel FFB vibration is so much stronger than the transponders vibration that I don't feel it properly once the wheel starts kicking. I need to do some reading around to try and tune everything to work together.

Or I could just splurge £3-4k on a motion rig smile (in my dreams)

Just got Project Cars for Xmas....good isn't it !! ..but not easy !

Did a bit of online racing about 2 or 3 years ago but obviously been playing too many arcade type driving games ...or too much Dirt Rally as I do tend to be on the grass a lot :-)

Need more practice !

No she won't, I'm lucky really she is very understanding, although she would be mighty pissed as she wants a new kitchen smile

+1 on the Welcome Steve, Project Cars she is a beautiful and intensely frustrating game/life stealer...

The £60k one has more motion so you're paying £36k premium just to sit in a car shaped box that's not as good...

You can get a triple axis motion rig for around £3k, if I distract 'er indoors by going to test drive the new Mustang 5.0 V8 she will think she is getting off lightly if I get a motion rig lol

So do you just go into time trial and choose the appropriate car, track ? Any rules about driver aids etc ? I'm still using the track guide thing :-)
Expect me to be 10 seconds behind you lot :-)

All assists allowed, we say default set to level the field. Other than that just enjoy!

I had another crack at this yesterday but the 1:35s is all I'm able to achieve! Just got my G29 which makes the game twice as enjoyable as before, but I'm not anywhere near the pace of some folk on here.

One thing I have really struggled with since getting the wheel is the Caterham challenge on career mode, it is very difficult to get a feel for that car and sadly, not fun at all in my opinion.

Well, as predicted, nearly 10 seconds off :-). Not sure how to update the table above

1.38.474
S1 = 27.916
S2 = 35.177
Doesn't show S3
PS4 : T300 wheel

Lots to learn :-)

Happy New Year all!
My first go in couple months, been playing Dirt Rally for a few weeks and couldn't stop hitting barriers, anyway...

Table restored to its former glory and Steves time added.
Steve, you just copy and paste for a new row in the table. For Sector 3 time on ps4, its not shown on leaderboard so think you need to get the calculator out unfortunately, or you can see it in the TT on the HUD, 'My best' time.
I put SteveC but you can update with your ps4 username if you want.
