I so love this game, I think it's even better than Fallout 3, and that's saying something as I racked up far too much time on that. I normally prefer SF over fantasy, but Skyrim is SO good that I can't put the thing down. I love the way that NPCs just get on with stuff that's not related to whatever quest you are on. Very rarely do you get that 'Truman show' staged feeling you get with some RPGs. I bumped into a character at an Inn somewhere who had agreed to meet me somewhere else for a quest and she said 'don't talk to me here, you were supposed to meet me at xxxx'. The thought and attention to detail just totally immerses you in the game.
The only thing that's bothering me is the seemingly large number of bugs and potential broken quests. I'm an xbox player so I don't have access to the console, but I have now taken to reading through the wiki prior to starting a quest to see if I am likely to break anything before embarking on a quest. This spoils things a bit (though not enough to stop me playing till the wee small hours).

I got fed up with Nazeem in Whiterun always asking if I get to the cloud district so I put an arrow in his head from a position hidden behind Belathor's General Store. I thought I got away with it but got chased by guards, I managed to get out of Whiterun and waited a couple of hours and then returned. I expected to have a bounty on my head and be immediately arrested, but wasn't. I went up to the market where the body was and everyone was around the body and a murder investigation was in progress, a guard asked me if I saw anything. Quite unexpected.
Which was nice.

If you are a Thane...you can usually get away with can't you?Which was nice.
They usually start the arrest dialogue which gives you the option to say you are the thane, and they can let you off. But that didn't happen this time, it was new dialogue that I hadn't seen before, questioning about seeing anything and if I did report it to the general of the guard as well as suspicious comments about not believing me.

I took out the old man who was always shouting and raving on about SKYRIM near the Shrine of Talos. I think I notched up a 1000 gold bounty for that. But no one bothered me on my next visit to Whitrun.

Yes, he got a stealthy arrow to the head fairly early on. I'm pretty sure I got away with it too (clearly there were no pesky kids around). But no one bothered me on my next visit to Whitrun.
Jon, I absolutely think that's what I heard as I walked into one of the smaller towns. That's why I was asking - it was the Arnie type voiced persons. I wondered if it was a known phrase.
But I am now a companion, member of the thieves guild, and thane of a few places.
Where is the best house?? I have one in Solitude and the one in Whiterun, but I need more mannequins and weapon racks than I have in Solitude. I have food, weapons, armour and metals all over the floor.....

unlimited arrows
Ok I assume that most people are aware of the bug in Skyrim were if you give your follower one arrow and a bow they will fire unlimited arrows of the type you gave them. You could go and pick up the arrows they fire and to restock your own supply.
A quicker way is to find a guard shooting arrows at a target, Solitude is a good spot. Pickpocket the guard and place one of your arrows in his inventory (I used Daedic) you may need to remove his steel arrows. Stand by the target and just collect the arrows he shoots.

Sneaky. A quicker way is to find a guard shooting arrows at a target, Solitude is a good spot. Pickpocket the guard and place one of your arrows in his inventory (I used Daedic) you may need to remove his steel arrows. Stand by the target and just collect the arrows he shoots.
I never thought of that. But it makes sense.
