GT5, any good ?

All I care about is if its good with the g25, I wouldn't dare play with a pad because I find driving games boring with control pads. The academy demo was amazing with the g25 so I'm sure gt5 won't be a disappointment.

Unless you can get a similar g25 setup for forza I'm not even thinking about it.

The game is absolutely incredible! 9/10.

Only faults are the damage, it's ste but not important at all to me!

Rwd cars with traction control off is epic!

It may not have been said on this thread, but that has been a view chucked around on PH since Forza 3 came out.
The "just you wait for GT5, it'll wipe the floor with it" view has been aired considerably for a long time.
My view was it had better be good given the constant delays and as an overall from the views in this thread it appears I may well be disappointed.

I have no bother which console the best driving game is on (I have a 360 but have always planned on a PS3) so my view is bang down the middle.

Only had a quick play tonight so I need to spend a bit more time with it.

In summary its ok, but has not wow'ed me. I thought I would be putting F1 2010 in the cupboard when this arrived but im not so sure.

Has to be said, the AI seems much improved, beats the hell out of Forza - that said, so does the original RidgeRacer.

A post has just been put up on the other GT5 thread about this. The damage model is meant to improve/increase as you level up. Initially there is not much to it, but as you get into the higher levels you will open up the damage models that involve doors flying off and stuff. The source for this is GTPlanet, so not official. I guess we'll all find out soon if there is any truth in it.

The thing I find most odd about the GT5 build up is that nobody who has received a preview copy is allowed to post a review until after the official launch has passed. (not even the big game sites)

Is this an attempt to build hype, or are they worried about what the reviews will say?

I can't imagine any possible reason why they wouldn't want reviews released prior to the general release?
Christ knows what a day or two more hype is going to achieve when people have been waiting since the PS3s launch for the game...

Enjoying lots. But I've done the first 2 licences. great I can use in car view. But when doing the first 3-4 of the beginner races I can only change to outside view, top of car view or bonnet. What have I done/ or can do to change to inside view?
