I'm enoying it with caveats (Series X). After a bit of playing around with the controller, I gave my wheel a go - G920. Steering and acceleration are fine, but the brakes are ridiculouly easy to lock. (Something I also found with the controller. Messing around with the settings has made little difference. It seems bonkers there is no wheel and pedal calibration option.

I kinda got used to it , only using about a third of brake travel - So much so when I went on F1 2023 it took me a good while to get used to brakes that actually worked according to pedal modualtion.

Played a bit online, the penalty system is baffling. I passed someone along the the straight, then the PIT maneouvered me into the barrier and ended up facing backwards. 2.75 sec penalty recieved.

And in another race I had an opponent actively swerving all over the track trying to ram drivers off, and at the end of the race there were no penalties.

Frustrating but it's good enough to stick with to see how it progressing. I'm not paying for DLC though. (Game pass user).

PC User: First real issue since launch. An updated AMD driver has caused the optimising shaders process to run each time the game is launched. This melts the CPU and takes several minutes. Jumping on for a quick race at lunch or before bed is well out the window now.

Amazingly I have now played a full day on motorsport without it crashing AND also being able to quick resume play as well. Will it continue? I hope so!

Having to go into multiplayer now as I don't have enough credits to buy the cars I need for the last four races on the career mode.

What's happened? Where are all the hoppers? Are they seriously telling me at some points I have to wait 20 odd minutes until practice is over so I can race?? What is this?? This looks like a lot of multiplayer options are totally missing......

Also is there an option to 'stats' and everything or is it missing?

Forza 7 had a stats screen where you could see how many miles you had driven, perfect corners taken, etc etc?

I'm missing driving stats and graphs. The only place that I can find them is when I save and watch a replay, and they are not really that good as a source of potential problems.

Each wheel's simultaneous rotational speed is my best guide for setting up things.

As much as I begrudge DLC - I bought the pass for this Forza.

-Double credits (not quite as only the base race credits)
-500k credits
-car pass

All but a couple of series so far I’ve had a suitable car for already. I bought the track FXK in whatever it is Ferrari for a series that’s the only expensive buy so far.

As an aside that series was great , could skip all practices as the car is already pretty much maxed out

These are my settings. Both in throttle and on the brakes the “driver” is turning the wheel to counteract the car rotating without my adding any steering input.
There is actually a slider in the advanced controller settings that controls that

Just completed the final performance points race in the R8 Performance that was gifted.

My god what an awful car to drive, my thumb was actually hurting from how much the car understeered, do R8’s understeer that bad in real life?

A new track and 200+ fixes coming in mid November

I might even be able to apply a livery without the game crashing. Exciting stuff.

Understeer seems to be prolific in this game if you ask me - The series I am on currently has a Porsche car pass car - can't remember the model but it just constantly understeers, my 700bhp C63 did too!

In the Porsche I find I'm deliberately unsettling the rear under braking to get the rear end out a bit more but even mid turn its re-settling and going back to understeer - haven't modified it much yet.

Anyone here play GT7? cars are so different between these games, both are accessible simulations but they are so far apart. Forza is much better IMHO however

It's my biggest complaint with the game.

The gt3rs I drove was exactly the same. Understeer everywhere at way too low a speed. Just like the other cars I tried.

Gave up in the end, uninstalled, and Pre-ordered WRC (AKA Dirt 3).

The handling does seem a bit more understeery in this one but I'm actually ok with it, previous Forzas have been too twitchy. Most cars will understeer when pushed if not deliberately unsettled in real life.

You do have to drive more how you would in real life rather than just diving into corners too fast. I quite enjoyed the C63 it was very neutral, could oversteer on most corners if you were not already understeering past the apex.

Check the tyre pressures, there all over the place!

One of my Porsches has 43 in the front and 27 in the rear. In fact just check tyres pressures on every new car before you race smile

Somewhere around 27 - 30 seems to the sweet spot for most of my builds so far.

Honestly I've gone 30 all round, that's what I had them set at in Forza 7 for any of my cars and, rightly or wrongly seems to cure the majority of the underwater (well for me it does lol)
