Check the tyre pressures, there all over the place!
One of my Porsches has 43 in the front and 27 in the rear. In fact just check tyres pressures on every new car before you race
Well you've got to admire their dedication to fidelity in that they're modelling how generally poor PDIs are at main dealers. One of my Porsches has 43 in the front and 27 in the rear. In fact just check tyres pressures on every new car before you race
I've uninstalled now though. Roll on WRC/dirt 3 this week
Out of interest, how many of those having issues with the game crashing or freezing etc on pc are on an AMD cpu / gpu ?
Only asking as a friend is having issues with his AMD setup. I’m using Intel and Nvidia and since launch, it has only frozen for a moment just the once, but there’s been no other issues at all.

I never even considered that, I’ve been playing Forza for years, does this mean I’ve been doing it wrong? What a joke
Historically stock tyre pressures have always been around 30PSI IME (at least up until FM6), but yes changing them always made a noticeable difference when tuning cars to me at least. Setting them all over the shop as standard is just stupid, I presume these are 'cold' pressures people are on about?I think what they have done with pressures this time is right. Rather than just randomly being all over the place they seem to have used the actual tyre pressures that the manufacturers or race teams use on the cars rather than the blanket 30/32psi of previous Forza games.
I haven't looked into the telemetry to see if they are cold or hot pressures. If cold pressures then would explain a fair bit of understeer if they go up by 5psi after a lap.

I really don't think they have, just bought a Corvette C5 in the game and the pressures were all over the place compared to what it says they should be in the door or my actual car. Think they were 37.5 rear and 32.5 front?!? I think others have said the same based on real-life experience as well. I haven't looked into the telemetry to see if they are cold or hot pressures. You want the pressures to be between 32-34psi front and back, always been the best set up in Forza for awhile and seems good here too.
PS the model of the C5 is actually broken, not only does it look terrible because it's so old now the ray tracing glitches on it at night it seems. Wonderful.

AMD with nvida gpu and i am crashing regularly. All drivers etc. up to date. Next option is to reinstall but thats a big download to do it. Been mulling this one over for a while so I’ll put my 2 pence worth in, overall I am kind of enjoying the game, I think! There's a lot to like now that I’ve taken the time to dial in the steering wheel settings to my liking, the first few hours where very frustrating and the difference between wheel and controller is stark with the controller being a very pleasant experience out of the box.
I am finding that the game seems not quite finished, which is not very good considering its nearly 5 years in development, lots of things from previous forza titles missing, it seems to be a AAA game thing nowadays, hey we know you liked playing our games that way but that was wrong, now you will play the game the way we want you too! It’s bizarre.
So you’ve spent 4hours, level a car up to level 50 all the unlocks tuned to the max, lets go race, ok where? There isn’t a multiplayer lobby that will accommodate that car, ok so what lobby’s are available, oh I don’t have a car for that, ok another 4hours grind for a car you might not like to play in a lobby that might be gone by the time you’re ready, crazy!
For what its worth when you do find the car and lobby that’s right for you, its magic, very enjoyable, I also kind of like the practice, qualify format, it takes more time but I feel more invested in the race, I think that should be kept for the featured races but it should just revert back to old school forza for class lobbies, I think there is room for both.
I will say that the online lobbies do seem very sweaty, I can’t just turn up with standard tune car and compete, it needs to be tuned and tested which means many hours getting it right and if you pick the wrong car its very difficult, there does seem to be a couple of META cars at the moment and a lot of very fast drivers, also just a personable preference but I don’t like starting a flying lap, prefer to start in the pits and build up to the lap, just me!
Also the AI in the game is all over the place, its doesn’t matter what setting I have it on, by the time I’m through the first corner mayhem there is always 1 car 5 seconds up the road who seemly doesn’t need to pit or crash I practically bust the wheel to get close and then when I pass they fall back instantly and I’m on my own for the last lap of the race it certainly doesn’t feel organic it feels manipulated and there just isn’t enough to do in career mode.
This game needs time and lots of updates, I think the one thing that’s missing that’s always been there is multi player all classes lobby’s permanently being there, that’s the reason we spend hours tuning cars to take them into online to race them, I want to race the car I want not what the game tells me, time will tell but its 50/50 for me at the moment I’m enjoying it but not completely in love with it, yet.

This is getting ridiculous now, instead of trying to fix it, just remove body kits because the cars look crap without spacers anyway
I don’t understand how they’ve released and charged £60 for an unfinished game.
I am enjoying it but these small niggles are irritating, if the game was free and the beta version had these problems; that’s fine. But a £60 game, very unprofessional

I am tragic online. I come last every race, usually getting lapped.
Do I just need to wait until my score reduces enough to put me in lobbies with people equally as crap as me?
My lap times are consistent, and I’m not falling off the track - just 5 secs a lap slower than everyone else
Maybe have a go at some Rivals events with the ghosts on and try and learn from their lines and braking points? I imagine a lot of people with the game have sunk hours into tuning their cars now so perhaps if you've not played that much the level you were put at has become a lot more hardcore than it was at launch? Do I just need to wait until my score reduces enough to put me in lobbies with people equally as crap as me?

Have you tuned or downloaded tunes for your cars?Do I just need to wait until my score reduces enough to put me in lobbies with people equally as crap as me?

He is constantly flicking the controller. If he drove a real car like that, he'd crash - but it works on the game.
Are you in auto or manual gearbox? Manual is about three seconds a lap faster, but it's too much for me on a controller. I'm ok on a flappy paddle wheel, but I can't get on with the controllers. The fast gamers use controllers.

I’ve put about 5 hours into the game, and it’s my first Forza so I’m ultra noob.
I’ve just been playing the online races where it gives you a car like the Civic Touring car - I don’t think it lets you mod it
I would say use the Rivals mode more for the moment so you can see where faster people brake and get on the power. A lot of people have sunk thousands of hours into the Forza games, but the one thing to remember is......there is always some one faster than you I’ve just been playing the online races where it gives you a car like the Civic Touring car - I don’t think it lets you mod it
Just finished an online race this afternoon and put (what I thought) was a blistering time in, I thought that should see me on or close to pole. Nope it put me at 6th

I chose the Ktm for the trackday cup and even with a basic self setup (the game has it with positive camber as stock!) it was essentially undriveable.
Just applied this tune and it’s a completely different animal, so much that I had to up the difficulty of the AI cars as I just monstered them round the glen.
That being said, game crashes immediately after….
