Do I turn in the exotic bounties and engrams now or wait for TTK to drop?
This? Anyone....Also faction packages and daily event rewards, when to hand them in?

Apologies if this has already been covered before.
I want to pre-order just the expansion but cannot find the package either in the console or browser based console store. (On the browser based one it is saying coming soon but has done for months).
Where are other people buying just the expansion and not old content from if not from the Xbox live store?

The quests you get set would be better ignored as they only give you a class item at the end that can't be used until your level 40. Do them once the taken king drops and it will give you extra xp for levelling up. Doing them now gives you nothing really.
I won't be doing the raid on the Friday as I'm away with work all week and won't be able to level up too 40.
Also had a good blast on crucible using my Timars Lash with LITC and FR. Using a stability perk which reduces the magazine size means I have 5 shots so 3 from 5 do added damage :-) weapon.
And in missing just Necrocasm from the exotics.

Here?
Just to clarify the light score - it is the average of your EQUIPPED items. Your character level (was 20 is now probably 34) was determined by looking at equipped gear AND gear in the vault. This was to make sure that anyone who happened to have equipped old or unlevelled gear still got mapped across to level 34.
All 365 weapons have been mapped to 170 - and armour is 170 too. The differences on my chars are the class items - faction ones seem to have 140 light, whilst some bought ones have 130 and 30 light - other dropped ones have 0 light.
The average includes your ghost and class item - so you're only going to get to 170 light (the current max) if you find a 170 ghost.
I saw some streamers last night who had taken-king style ghosts dropping in the crucible and they were then getting up towards 170 light.
The class quests (striker defender etc) are the new way of people acquiring that class - I'm not sure they will be that relevant for the existing classes as we all already have them.
They WILL be extremely relevant in TTK, because that's how you will get your new sub-class.
On that note - save all XP (public event packages and bounties) until AFTER you get your new subclass - that way you can dump in a lot of XP and unlock a lot of the new abilities. Allegedly you get it shortly after you start the story in TTK.
Story missions start at level 25 so you don't need to blast past level 34 as soon as TTK launches - but you probably will want to be level 40 and light level 280 to tackle the raid.
I wish they had launched the raid a week after to give a bit more levelling time...but never mind :-)
Edit 2 - my strangers rifle has been auto-upgraded to legendary status, but is only 113 attack.

had lots of fun even if it was just doing the quests. A few who have not played for ages came back so good to catch up
And sorry if this has been answered already.
I am going to finish all the quests with my titan. I did this with 2 mates who was on level 33 and 32. both of them within a hour or 2 got to level 34. While i as doing this all I got was pretty much bugger all. as i'm already at level 34.
So do I need to do the quest with both my maxed out Warlock and Hunter. Or it is just worth abandoning them as they are only re doing the story's we have all done many times.
And a way newbies can get up to level 34 quickly.
I don't want to abandon then quests this week with both my other characters if it's going to feck up from the Tues

yeah I think if you really want to max your xp you should save those quests and complete them after TTK drops as the XP will help you get to 40...but if you want something new to do, or loot to get, then you can do them this week, and you'll probably generate a lot of XP next week anyway.
It's interesting that it only took 1-2 hours play to go up from 32/33 to 34...
Level 40 and light 280 seems to be the aim to achieve in TTK.
I also had a quick look at exotic armour stats in the collection machine as opposed to the ones I already have and they do have different stats...so I'm assuming the machine ones have an average level set. My LBN warlock helmet is 133 strength but the machine one is "only" 127.
On that basis I'm only going to shard year 1 exotics that I don't really use AND they have a lower stat roll than the machine version....unless I really run out of space.
