Wow... purely, frickin' wow...

Last night was truly epic.

I pushed the whole way through the race bar a small part between the first and last pit stop where I short shifted.... eventually running out of fuel dead on the 2 hours!!

>5 Seconds Left<

Splutter,

>3 Seconds Left<

Misfire, Chug...

>1 Second Left<

"WWWAAAAAARRRRRRRR-*pop*-Wa-Wa-Wa-WAAAooooo-wow-wow... bleh..." DEAD. hehe

The V8's have served me well throughout this championship! thumbup

I'll gift the tune I used to anyone who wants it and Idle you're welcome to the complete car if you wish as a thank you for running this.

Anyway, Chris, where's these pics? tongue out

I'd definitely be up for the next championship but will have to wait until nearer the time to see whether I can commit or not (due to the lil' un arriving), I may be reduced to one championship at a time (if I'm lucky!! biggrin)

I had a fantastic night last night racing.

I developed a tune for my car that allowed me to have a vice free car, slow on ultimate pace and top end, but really easy to drive. My idea was that with full damage, so much time could be lost, that if I could keep my car intact I stood a decent chance of an okay finish.

I suppose you could call that the cowards way, and maybe I should have been more aggressive. However I am not to bad at enduro racing, apart from my first race, where I was like a headless chicken, I can say I will get a car to the finish mostly intact.

The Ford was a joy, I ran it quite high and soft on the suspension, trying to give the car a decent feel for when I was approaching the limit. Stock power and gearbox saw me lose out on the straights though.

Despite Curry getting cross at me, I saw no point in racing Tom or Gareth, they caught me so quickly, I could see I would only hold both of us up if I diced with either one. However as Ian and Chris were handicapped by damage I could tell on one lap pace we were similar and I knew then that third was on.

I just kept it tidy and conservative, and short shifted the entire 3rd stint, so that I did not run out of fuel.

I have to say that It was fantastic to finish 3rd, I never ever dreamt I could do that and thought I would be at the back the entire race. I really do feel that I have finally got the novice X of the back of my virtual car now.

Thanks again to Chris for letting me race and I really look forward to a further enduro series

I am also keeping ABS and Braking lines turned off now, as its so much more fun to race without em!

Rich,

The only reason I got irked with you was that I thought my pace was similar to the two of them and I needed to stay with them....I was mistaken, largely mistaken.

So it doesn't bother me now, but you are due me 4200 Microsoft points hehe

The pace the top two had was amazing. I think Gareth upped even further after passing me his pace because he closed down Tom eventually.

Yeah right on the points!

I am still enjoying the fact I beat you in an enduro race

Thank you though, I did enjoy it, and your I cannot drive with someone watching me was funny!

I've never been able too, it used to be if someone was just stood watching me race I'd feck up immediately, but it came to light in Race Pro as weel when Idel (ya bd) would nip into the pits and watch people practicing whilst there.

He once said, 'that was a nice line through there Curry', I went 'what your watching!' and promptly smacked it into the barrier knocking a wheel off.
