I got the full fat submarine at $9 million , and the new submersible car, and the new bomber Ahm oot.
You are right though, you can only access the island during the heist and set up. You can do the heist as a single player though so i assume you can just free roam at that point rather than do the heist. I guess there wont be any other players there with you though.

You might be able to use it (and visit the island) all the time after completing the heist?

Did you get the guided missiles? I am finding it a little hard to be accurate with them but I have scored a few kills.
I actually think they are a big mistake to add to the game, i can see them becoming REALLY annoying.

I do wonder what on earth is going on in R*s collective brains sometimes; the Mk2 oppressor is another level of annoying and pretty well universally hated, just a griefers wet dream. I'd love to see the option of "traditional" lobbies, where there's seaplanes, normal helis, but no crap like Kanjalis, jets, flying bikes, deluxos etc - where you can play the game properly.

Wow, that sounds like a bad deal compared to the £5 I gave someone on Discord to put $1.5 Billion in my GTA account I have been buying the best of everything for three months and still have $1.2 billion left.

I don't have businesses etc I simply grind at selling custom Sandkings, bounties etc. I win a few nice cars on the lucky wheel, but generally income covers ammo and accidentally blowing up other players cars. I've helis and so on, but I have to save hard for them. I have about 900k in my account.
The custom sandkings sell for about 17-20k I think ? Sentinels sell for 15-17k but they are much easier to get and you don't have to go halfway up the map. I've got a garage nearby and stash them there, sell one every time I log on (at least). You could do repo ork too, I think some of them are around 20k ?
If you are mooching about sign up as a VIP and do headhunter/sightseer VIP work. For headhunter you really want a buzzard so if you don't have one look at the hospital/aircraft/FIB building over in the east. Do whatever is double/triple money.
If you have amazon prime, link up your accounts, you get 200k a week for logging on and an extra 200k on the 4th week. Assuming you are on PS4 you should also be receiving a million a month for logging on (until they release the next gen version).

I think I'd suggest getting an arcade and doing casino heists - you can do most of the setups on your own and then just get someone to do the actual heist with you - as bob says, join the crew, Alex will help you out for a 15% cut

Also, forgot to say - there are a number of "collectible" side tasks. The latest one is to find 10 bits of transmission antennas for a radio station, find the 10 bits, get 250k. If you look on youtube you'll find videos of the locations. There are others too, there is one that has 50 signal jammers for example. I am sure there are more but I found this map

I'm playing on my Xbone just now so I'm starting from scratch, well not really cause I bought the game bundled with the pack that gives you a bunch of business stuff and a big shark card in a sale.
Going to grind for a while and see if I can solo run the new heist, which is apparently possible.
Hopefully be back to my huge car collection from my sadly departed PS4 account in no time

I find the Sandkings much easier to get to spawn than the Sentinels. I've nearby garages to both spawns so that's what I do. Unfortunately I'm on Xbone so can't join the PH crew, and there doesn't seem to be any activity at all on the PH Xbox thread.
I just quite like freeroaming around and picking fights with jet/oppressor griefers using a heavy sniper/sticky bombs.
