Minecraft - £8 Very well spent
Discussion
As the oldest one who plays I don't mind being responsible for the server. I have to deal with server provider for my company site so I know what a pain they can be.
I might need some assistance in organising the minecraft side of things but between myself, Luke and my eldest son (when he has time) we should be able to sort it.
It would be best if everyone paid direct to the server each month then there is no worries about the money handling side (ATJ posted some instructions a few pages back on how to do it - it is quite simple)
My only concern is that we have had this 'incident' and no one has admitted to it which leaves a little mistrust between the players...

Instructions how to make payments
To donate funds :
https://jestservers.com/panel/clientarea.php
Login: pistonheads@mailinator.com
Pass: minecraft
Click on 'add funds' under the account info. (on the right hand side) - unless you want to pay the whole invoice
Select amount (in USD) you wish to donate.
Choose payment method.
If 5 of us donate £3.00 a month then it will keep going
If you want to do a couple of months in 1 go then I'm sure that will be fine
I don't mind being the one with overall responsibility but I would not chase people to pay so unless 5 people contributed it would not get paid.
Do people want me to take over the running of the server or can we buy ATJ a couple of and persuade him to continue running it, with financial support from others
So is it time to put this sorry incident behind us and get back to enjoying minecraft?

Guys, I've just paid the $20 outstanding for this month and hopefully we can move on from this episode and get back to the usual PH Minecraft way of all mucking in and getting along. I guess if it happens again then I'll not be willing to carry on.
Let's try and forget this happened and start over.

All just keep playing. I am too busy with work to do anything. I will pay the bill when it's due but if no-one's going to play then I'll cancel it. The server log shows a few sporadic 5 minute visits so it's seeming like no-one actually wants to play on it to me. To coin the old saying: use it or lose it.
ETA: @ Tycho, thanks for the donation.

Me and JetBlack spent about 2 hours trying to replace the villagers, got a few ones back and a couple of new ones too..but it really isnt a fun job..Fully appreciate ATJ's hard work now, it isnt a quick/easy process :P
Another day i'll carry on trying to get some more back, maybe when im feeling a little more patient haha
I spent a bit at the tree farm so if anyone needs oak wood theres a few stacks of logs in the sorting system on the lower floor of our house
We also put $20 in the pot to keep us going for a little longer, ill put some more in again soon as i want the server to keep going

The villager trading is indeed time-consuming and tedious work. I have (had) a list of all the current best trades for each enchantment and updated it along with the villagers when I got one with a better trade. It's hard to keep track of because often you'll get 1 villager which has good trades for more than 1 enchantment so you have to make a choice which cell to put him in and then make a note on a sign for anyone wanting the other enchantment.
At the moment the only villagers of interest are the librarians, tool smiths, weapon smiths and armour smiths. The rest all need to be killed as they are largely useless.
Until I have time to play there needs to be a block on the villager stream somewhere after the lava for the iron golems as too many villagers will get produced and eventually lag the server from sheer numbers of entities as they'll be spawning whenever someone is online. Adding another water source block at head height supported by signs in the underground stream should do the trick as they'll float up into it and drown.
Also need tons of sugar cane, like double chests full of it. One librarian can easily chew through about 6 stacks of paper just trying to unlock his trades if he's stubborn and won't refresh.

Btw @ Tycho and Monkeyspeed, you've not actually paid anything. All you've both done is create invoices.
That's strange, my Paypal account is showing as completed:Item title:

Status: Completed
I have started a basic sugar cane farm behind my treehouse, it's not automated but it is quite large. I've put some cane in the chest next to the original automated one by the melon farm.
