Yep ajprice - that's me.
I understand all the words you guys are typing, I just don't appear to have the dexterity to pull it off without buggering something up during the lap. I have a feeling you could stick me in something class A and 4wd and I'd still struggle to keep up![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)
It's honestly not that bad. Linking up a series of corners can return big gains. Do you play to traction control and stability control on?I understand all the words you guys are typing, I just don't appear to have the dexterity to pull it off without buggering something up during the lap. I find turn 1 and Spoon just begging to be attacked. Turn 1, I'm actually just braking for turn 2.

Then the last Sunday of the month we can organise a race in the evening.
I need to pay more attention to the detail ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
I've been waiting for something to happen

The good news is that I have a fortnight to try to get into the 2.40's
![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I’m just waiting for Idlewillo to organise the latest one-make Nations Cup series tbh…

(I’ll provisionally stick my name down for Wales again!)
Hi all, been a long time since I've checked out these hallowed pages as I totally skipped FM7.
Currently really enjoying FM8 despite it's "quirks"![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I'm still not that quick but I've gotten the hang of tuning now so getting more enjoyment from the game.
Hopefully some of you will remember the great fun we had during 4, 5 and 6 when I used to run private lobby PH race nights and championships.
So, I've posted a link below (or look in this the computer game section of the forum) with details of a race night this Saturday if any of you are interested in joining.
Feel free to add my GT EVILHOMER40

I play with abs and braking line on, dont think I have traction control or stability control on, will check though. I think my worst habit in the game is overcompensating when a fwd starts to slide. I'll keep practicing.I find turn 1 and Spoon just begging to be attacked. Turn 1, I'm actually just braking for turn 2.

How do I add people on Xbox? (Noob alert)
I saw some of you have added me but can’t see you in friends list or rivals. I see the old FH4 lobby is there!
I really struggled even with my son telling me - and the internet doesn't help, because they mention "Community" which I don't have. Anyway, this is what I did...I saw some of you have added me but can’t see you in friends list or rivals. I see the old FH4 lobby is there!
On the Xbox app on the PC
Bottom right is "Friends". Click on that.
In the "Search for people" search field, type the name you want to search for.
It's a "fuzzy search", so the selection gets smaller the more letters you type. (EVILHOMER40 is second to top after typing evilhomer4)
When you can see the person you want to be a friend with, click on their name.
A new window will open with their detail and a "INVITE TO PARTY" button.
Click on the little man in the top right of the "INVITE TO PARTY" button, called "View Profile".
Their profile will open and will show a list of their games.
It's important that you now click the down arrow to minimise the friends list. If you don't, you can't see the buttons.
If the person is already following you, click on "Add Friend" - you will now be friends
![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
If not, click "More"
Click on "Add Friend"
You will now be following them.
They need to add you as a friend before you are friends.
Checked

I couldn't find Rossfields or Bigponk5323, but all others have been added as friends. I don't know if this is necessary, but I think it will make the Rivals list more complete, if nothing else
.
Sorry guys have adjusted settings so you all should be able to find me now ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Cheers, not sure about running a championship yet as that's a lot of commitment but this night will be a good start of something I might be able to do on a semi-regular basis.Everyone stand back and watch as he sets up the championship properly after my garbled attempt

Anyone here with Xbox series x and also an older controller to hand?
I have noticed before that the older controller (mine is the one that came with the one s) seems to provide a faster steering response with driving games.
Last night I used the series x controller with the civic and then swapped to the older one. Definitely a noticeable improvement on turn in, especially at the hairpin and chicane. Easier to string a decent line through the esses, just generally better. Didn’t have a long enough stint to better my previous time but consistency was much improved.
Just wondering if I have a slightly duff series x controller or indeed there is a difference between the 2?

Can they remove Virginia raceway whilst they are at it?
VIR is superb compared to some of the oval tracks in Forza with their garbage ‘road course’ layouts imo.Matt Cup said:
The oval tracks can get in the sea too. But I hate VIR with a passion, stupid multi layout circuit with more off camber corners than regular AND the slippiest grass ever.
Hahaha, yeah it's a challenge for sure, even more so if you're forced to use cockpit view! The off camber corners, blind crests and consecutive bends are what I enjoyed about learning the track, reminded me of a cross between the Nordschleife and somewhere like Suzuka - kicks your ass for missing a braking point or being slightly off-line! Must admit I only drive the 'full layout', I didn't drive the version with the Mickey Mouse infield section until I played Forza and agree that one is...crap ![hurl](/inc/images/hurl.gif)
