Balls.... I dont have a access to windows OS. :-(
No windows machine anywhere in the house??? We have had people running a windows vm on macs that works but is a faff.

Failing that you can enter your times manually, but you don't get sector splits or the telemetry bit (when I've finished building it)

So I was getting frustrated with this one as didn't seem to be able to nail a lap.

Having managed to get hold of the windows laptop to post a time using the updater rather than doing it manually, the car had the ABS and TC turned off despite the fact I had the settings to real - so I assume they should have been on automatically?

Anyone any idea why that might have been the case?
Not really, they should be on by default unless you turn them off. I have them mapped to buttons on the steering wheel. PCLapUpdater has the aids icons that should flash when they're kicking in, note not whether they are on or off

First up, well done to Drewk1 for winning the last race, but as is the nature of the beast success comes at a price and his boost has dropped by nearly 2% for this race so he'll have to work harder for this one.

xjay1337 nicks the championship lead mainly due to a non-appearance of tronneh.

Next race is Bathurst in a Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe DTM, difficult course but a manageable car.

PCLapUpdater has had to have a re-jig (again...) to post telemetry data. But I'm trying a new method of installing it which should mean that it auto-updates from now on and we don't have to do this uninstall re-install stuff.

Anyway, we now have telemetry data which I think is going to be really good for helping us (me!) get better. The telemetry from your best lap only, I think my database would struggle if I held them all, is stored and can be compared against others. You can see it under the graphs section.

The handicap/boost calc does work and does slightly favour the more consistent racers, who are normally the best. But yes it's a bit erratic until I can gather enough data, 6 races minimum before it gets accurate.

Don't forget, just click the handicap off at any point to see how you're doing in real time.

Anyway, there's loads of other normal league table stuff going on, the idea of this is it's a bit different and let's all abilities have a challenge :-)

I was surprised with my win as I'm so far off the pace and I thought the handicap was a bit generous.

Hopefully the system will settle and even things out without such a big advantage to the crap drivers ( me )

Oh well I'm back to being crap on this circuit ha ha
It's all good, I'm glad you won, you've put in loads of laps and getting quicker so your handicap is coming down in synch with that.

Seeing as I can't correlate a wiggly telemetry line to where the bloody hell it is on the track, track maps are coming and they're going to be sexy :-)

Telemetry enhanced with heat track maps. Not 100% happy with it yet, but you can have what I've done so far. Click on a map point should highlight the corresponding data point in the telemetry data.

Fat chance, not entered my time yet or set the widget up but I am literally 10 secs off the pace. Now, I was rarely top of the table, but I wasn't expecting to be 10 seconds behind frown

Just to check, are we using default set ups? Please say no, so I can use it as an excuse for being so crap.
Afraid to say car should be default, driving aids real. Intention is that everyone should be driving under the same conditions

Storming session by Matt S (Northern Monkey) to nick first place with half an hour to go.

So we're into the final session with xjay1337 defending his lead although Drewk1, evans and born2bslow all made up ground on him in the last race.

Last race is Imola in a BAC Mono, testing car for the cr@p amongst us but hopefully will give a worthy championship winner :-)

Time for a new challenge? Haven't had much seat time lately so need an excuse to get back on it.

Restarted career mode in frookie, limited to PCars in the rift, as PC2 and AC both just crash if I try and use it. I think my PC is the problem, but I want to save a few quid with Black Friday deals when I build a new one so stuck until November.

If work keeps going as well as it is I'm going to get a 1080ti, an overclocked cpu bundle and make it a beast.
Sure thing, why don't you pick the combo? My pc is bust at the minute, so can you do a lap first and tell me exactly what pclapupdater says is the name of the track and the car as the udp data often is slightly different to what the actual game front end calls them

Did you ever download the source code from the online leaderboards, that should line up with the UDP data, each track and car also has a numerical identifier...

Then you could just select from a list smile
It's on my to do list, I've got a list of all the tracks and cars, they match up with the game just not always with the udp data

So now the 'season' is over, are we going again?
Yes we are :-) Well done to Drewk1 on a deserved championship win, the man's put in shed loads of laps.

My pc is knacked at the minute but if anyone wants to suggest a track combo for the first race, I'll see if I can set it up without my pc.

Also when I'm back up and running there'll be a little tweaking of the boost calculation to favour the fastest, only by a little bit at first, I still want a fighting chance of being near the leaders :-)

No, I've got a bar on that bloody track. We did it once before and unless you're really good it can be a very frustrating time. 5 minutes in, slightly go offline and invalid lap. Repeat until games console is hurled through a window.

If everyone wants it I'll relent but prior experience tells me that it won't be a popular choice.

I could remove the valid lap check on the website as a one-off, not sure if there are any obvious cheaty points at the Nurburgring, eg driving over a chicane at full tilt
