Logich G29 Steering Wheel £129.99
Discussion
I've just bought the G29 with shifter and an OpenWheeler+; http://www.openwheeler.co.uk/gaming-seats/openwhee...
I'm hoping that paired up with my HTC ViVe on Asseto Corsa it'll be as close as I can get to driving the Nordschleife without leaving my house.

Just to chip in for anyone unsure whether to put the money down, racing with a force feedback wheel is a whole different experience to a pad and you won't want to go back.
I have had a Logitech G25 that I bought to play GT5:Prologue (so early 2008), and it's had a bloody hard life since then. Logitech hardware really does last well, and if mine broke I'd replace it without a doubt.

That centre post might bug you, I would have recommended this instead, and it seems cheaper unless you had a deal.I'm hoping that paired up with my HTC ViVe on Asseto Corsa it'll be as close as I can get to driving the Nordschleife without leaving my house.

I bought a Logitech wheel for my nephew for Christmas, it's OK but I was quite disappointed really.
I bought one of the original Microsoft Sidewinder wheels for £50 10 or more years ago, when I was looking I was amazed that there's nothing under £130 now, but when the wheel arrived I was disappointed that they're nowhere near as realistic in the Force Feedback either.
I tried a back to back test on my PC with the same game and the Sidewinder was much better in terms of feeling the car's grip levels, the new one feels a lot more wooly somehow. The new wheel is much closer to a 'real' car wheel, though I find that pretty irrelevant when you're actually using it.

I use a Microsoft Sidewinder FFB and it really is excellent for a 20? year old design. The strength and feel of the feedback is brilliant. I keep wondering about buying a 3 pedal and gearshifter setup from someone else and using the lot together. All the "new" wheels also feel woolly to me and lack the strength of the MS FFB.
I actually had an original game port variant to start with (15+ years ago) but bought a USB version off eBay around 5 years ago for 99p + postage so it works with Windows 7 etc.
Great wheel, although if you use Assetto Corsa then you need to mod the settings otherwise multiplayer everything appears to Lag.

I had chance to get to grips with it all today. Fiddled with the force feedback settings, etc. Assetto Corsa using my HTC ViVe is beyond amazing to play. I could do with a slightly better resolution, but I think that's the limitations of the VR hardware right now. It didn't take away from what is an astonishing experience in your own house.
