Having fun in LFS
Discussion
Yeah sounds good, what sort of time tonight? Is there any way of the host deciding when qualifying and races start rather than the vote system? As it seems a bit disjointed normally, every bad start gets a restart vote and you quite often don't finish a race due to people voting for a restart.
I guess if he isn't around to force qualifying etc we can vote to start it...and if someone stacks it - they just have to get themselves out the kitty litter and carry on and promise not to vote to restart
Pending my successful escape from london this evening i should be available for practice/qualifying/racing from 8pm ish... thats providing the trains are running !

Not sure about the error - I am running the LS2 alpha-P build of the dedicated host which is pure demo version (wanted to be very sure before wasting one of my 3 unlocks)
Having read through the various server options there seems to be a degree of control over voting and such.
Because it is a dedicated server though I don't see how well it would work without voting. No one driver "owns" the game...
With regards a steering wheel I am still using my old Microsoft force feedback wheel that I bought about 5 years ago. Very rugged (although I snapped the retaining clip off one of the cables last week). Very direct with just one turn lock-to-lock which is possibly why I am having so much fun with some of the cars....
I should be about tonight and some practice for this weekends real racing probably wouldn't go amiss - more so since I will be driving something rather similar to the basic hatchback you are stuck with in the demo version.

I dont think the voting thing will be an issue amongst us PH'ers anyway. Its only on the public servers you have to contend with the crying "RESTART" plebs - lol
I'll plop a post here when i'm online, you can all add me to MSN if you want to make things easier: stevehobbins@hotmail.com

Those bike engine cars are great, great fun but I think I need to adjust my steering wheel setup before I can get very far, got it set way too sensitive for my own good.
Will catch up with everyone on Monday - guess it will be a bit late when I get back from BH and I don't imagine I will want to do any more driving of any kind for a while...
