Age of triumphs releases today at 6pm... I'm going to be online from 8pm ish...
Anyone else going to get in and see what they have done to our beloved Raids? I hear Vex Mythoclast year3 is a possibility.
Featured challenge raid is going to be Crota, so could be interesting to work out the challenges etc also.

I had a sneaky watch of some streams last night. Bridge encounter looks quite different, and challenge mode for Yr Yut looks like you need to do a LOT of killing very quickly.
The team were having a bit of trouble doing enough DPS on Crota as there are now obligatory oversouls after every damage phase. They ended up doing it by using a celestial nighthawk hunter to golden gun the oversoul after the first damage phase of the sword. This left the rest of the team able to fire their second round of rockets at Crota to enable a second damage phase with the sword.
Another spoiler/tip:-
There is now a quest to get the new necrochasm and that quest has a final step to kill Crota - so worth getting a husk of the pit to kick off the quest line first. The new necrochasm should be not s
t as the cured thrall explosion happens on every kill - so great for crowd control.

For Scrota - I would definitely recommend a hunter with Nighthawk if at all possible (based on theory not practice!). They can one-shot the oversoul and leave everyone else free to do boomers and make Crota kneel for a second round of sword damage.
There is a post on reddit that they can even shoot crota, make him kneel, AND let the shot travel through him and into the oversoul as well.
Keep on the left hand side and kill as much stuff as possible with supers to keep orbs flowing for the hunter.
Crota will enrage on the 16th "standard" slam, so someone probably has to count to make sure it happens at the start of someone's sword phase rather than the end. If everyone is taking a turn they'll probably average 3 slams each so you could accidentally set his enrage mode off whilst having to wait for a whole new sword phase to happen.
EDIT - last point - Weapons bubbles now buff sword damage....may come in handy if you're trying to do more sword damage with less sword bearers....but you'll have to watch out for triggering enrage mode.

Woo managed to find a LFG team last night that could actually work together and not Squeak insults at everyone.

completed the Necrochasm quest @ 400 light (didn't get one in year 1 so this is my first ever!)
scored a 400 word of crota and a Song of Ir-Yut.
Looking forward to the VoG on Tuesday... I hope they haven't messed with the jumping puzzle!
