So how far in did the raid team who were on for at least 5 hours last night get then? And any juicy loot? You know, the same folks who pledged allegiance to Stimps' self appointed raid team Joking, me and many others weren't even close to being ready, let's be honest. From what I've read, I doubt I'd be ready for several weeks more yet
I think we were all impressed, no wait, staggered that the party chat had been going for 12 hours straight when we logged off
Sims, Stimps - we were on the right track for the first area mechanics wise, just not enough fire power to make it happen
Some team has already 3 manned it btw, just wow (semi pro gamer who's name escapes me now, see Reddit)

I was up against one of the well known pro gamers in the crucible recently and it was like playing against a machine. He ended with a KD of 18! I saw afterwards that my misery was being broadcast live on Twitch for the world to enjoy.
You are right, we weren't raid ready. Shall we all level up a bit more and try to get a group together for Thursday/Friday night?

A couple of observations, post RoI.
One, blue engrams can decrypt into exotics. I had a blue engram decrypt into The Stag. yes, it's a crappy helmet, but it came from a freaking blue.
Second, infusion occasionally works at better than 1:1 ratio. I infused some 351 gear from my warlock into the hunter, and the helmet and chest pieces came out at 352. Sure, it's only one light level, but still worth a mention.

Good. Took six hours to get to the last boss, but stopped there. Did the same again today and did it in less than two, with getting all the hidden chests. Will reserve judgement until completed. It does seem more similar to Crota than KF though.

So who was it that kicked butt in the Crucible then? You are right, we weren't raid ready. Shall we all level up a bit more and try to get a group together for Thursday/Friday night?
But an 18 k/d is insane and any idea what gear he was using? At least you can say that you've been immortalised online
I've ranked up a few things today and it's only moved me from 346 to 348, progress is slow and given that realistically you need to be 360+ for the Raid, I doubt I'll be there for next week. Next year? Perhaps Just don't have the time or indeed gear for grinding out Omnigul for instance
Spent marks buying gloves from the vendor as that was a weak point in my armour, light wise only to complete a quest and get a gloves legendary engram which decoded to 351. Bloody RNG. Infused them into my Ruin Wings and they went to 352, so echo what Sims reported earlier

I thought the light limit was 385 but someone just dropped a hand cannon in the crucible at 387!!
Upper light level is 400 (HM Raid). Perhaps they forgot to implement the 385 soft cap in the meantime, dunnoSpeckle said:
Count me in for a raid attempt this week.
And you can count me out - I'm just not progressing up the scale at the moment and stuck back on 350 at the very best. Got Sepiks Perfected done yesterday evening with some randoms and it wasn't very enjoyable - why is everyone obsessed with speed running things? Especially when they speed run up to the walker and then die in a difficult to revive location Have you people never heard of sniper rifles or something? Last guardian standing ...Onwards to the heroic strike playlist, need some drops - Bond Brothers, crap. With this week's burns, almost impossible I'd say. Boss room and everyone dies left right and center, over and over again. The two randos quit, I sit down and wait, two more join. Everyone dies again, one rando quits after just one attempt! Two of us have another few goes, yep, we both die again and again. Call it a night, waste of blummin' time

If it works like I think it does, I think 6 level 350s could get through the first stage, not sure if you get any rewards for it though.
Don't quote me Gray, but I think purple engrams are limited to 365. Don't bother saving them!
365+ are:
Raid.
PvP.
Strike drops.
Exotic engrams.
Faction packages.
Disclaimer!!!!! Never listen to me without confirming first.
ETA: I've just decrypted and infused as I've gone so subsequent drops are high. My LL is respectable, but I'm low on resources.

He might not, but I will But yes, this is correct, purple engrams top out at 365 unless they decrypt to an exotic item so you might as well use them if you are still trying to get to 365 like meTrouble is, I get distracted doing other stuff - found a decent roll Eyasluna in my vault that I'd forgotten all about along with several other hand cannons (Down and Doubt 00-0, The Devil You Know, The Revelator, Byronic Hero, The Vanity) so now I'm running around in Plaguelands patrol trying those out to see which suits my style rather than grinding level out. Been using Hung Jury for so long, I fancy a change or so I think at the moment

Unless your Eyasluna is a god roll you may as well just buy the Vanguard Palindrome.
It's not bad (for PvE) - Outlaw, Reinforced Barrel and Life Support. Naturally, I'd like Firefly, but that doesn't roll on this gun as I understand itAlso, I notice that Outlaw doesn't proc on critical kills of Splicer Vandals, not sure why though ...

Ah okay, I tend to just ignore PvE rolls, the content is easy enough to not need an advantage. Rather keep using PvP guns, more familiar they are the better. Also, I notice that Outlaw doesn't proc on critical kills of Splicer Vandals, not sure why though ...

No point worrying about PvP rolls if you don't Crucible though and I'll take any advantage I can get - kaboom!Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
