I bought and sold the T14 really quickly as I was only a new player and would fire blindly at tanks, weak spots what weak spots! Wish I hadn't now really I enjoy playing at tier 5 with my sherman
TBH, knowing weakspots can only get you so far in the T14 as the gun is just not accurate enough, hitting weak plates or strips of armour is doable at close ranges, but at medium range even hitting the target seems to be good enough. I find the pathetic gun makes it hard to play when it's not top tier, it's too big and the terrible hull traverse makes it hard to play as a flanker and it's view range and camo value means it can't do passive spotting well either. However, when the luck of the draw puts it at the top of the table, you can dominate in it, getting right into the mix and dishing it out. That said, Wolverines are like kryptonite to this thing, it seems like they can pen it at will, any angle, any distance.

I'm glad it's turned out to be a total turkey, it just took a little while to see the potential, and despite getting 2 Mastery class 1s in my last few games in it, I don't think I'm near to really being able to play this thing well.

I've just had a game in my Panzer S35 739f where I did more damage than the rest of my team combined, and took no damage myself, securing a win. What a tank, when it's top tier, this thing is like the Micro Maus with a better gun.

Really love my s35, game earlier on province? Top tier but 7 kills, loads of medals and a mastery badge. Collected the multiple and cash for the damage based ops too.

It's been that long since I bought it tbh, I can't remember! Still another premium is always good

I had my first angry message today, from a team mate rather than enemy player. I had just played Cliff in the rain in my T28. Everyone rushed to the mountain area except for the 1 SPG and a Churchill. The SPG was covering the other side of the map so it was just the Churchill and I covering sniper alley. The Churchill didn't last long but I repelled every tank that came my way. In the end our team won, but at the end a guy who played in a Jackson sent me a message saying thanks for camping and doing fk all for the team! Funny thing was I did 3 times more damage than the next best player and got the most kills. He did 400 odd damage or something pathetic like that. Added bonus for me is coming away from it with nothing more than one damaged track!

It's great when that happens, always an opportunity for some fun smile. Same as when people announce at the start of a match "report so and so as a bot"... Love winding them up after a game if that 'bot' has outperformed them. I may even have once parked side on in front of said bot just to give him some damage (game was won already) so it could happen...whistle

Wouldn't worry about it.

Thinking about this, I get a message about once every 7,000 games or so. I've only bothered responded to the last one. I can't remember what it was he said, although it was along the lines of 'you should have done it my way'.

My response was "This is, of course, your opinion, and I shall treat it with the same respect that you deserve. Which is to say, none whatsoever."

I regretted it when I sent it, but never got a response, so who cares. He was a worthless scrote in game and probably would be in life. I didn't waste a thought on it again until now when you reminded me.

The only other one I can remember was someone in our team saying "I'm not gay but I'd suck your cock for that", after I'd got 7 kills in the M40/M43 and won the game for us. Which was nice, I think.

I'm not good enough for hate mail frown

Though I have just had another match in the Pz kpfw S35 739f where I did more damage than the rest of my team combined, and took the win. If the Panzer 38H is the "Micro Maus", then surely the S35 is the "Mini Maus" - I've not played the VK45.02 as it's not yet in the Xbox game, but it's a beast, hardly living up to it's moniker.

Whenever I'm top tier in the S35, I'm practically guaranteed a Cool Headed medal.

I used to have a macro on a mouse button that opened a team message box and typed "If you're so clever, how come you're dead? Shut up and go away." but had to pull it when my daughter accidentally pressed it while writing something and thought the computer was talking to her!

Really loving the Borsig after the horrendous grind in the Pz syph/Emil...

Is this a keeper, or is there much more in the T9 & 10 vehicles? The gun stats aren't that much better as far as I can see.. (Apart from the auto loader).

I've not played them but the Borsig is a gem, apparently. The Waffentrager auf PzIV is not as powerful for tier 9 as the Borsig is at tier 8. The IV is a taller, bigger target and has poor gun depression, but extra depression at the rear, so some players reverse up to ridgelines to take advantage of that.

The Waffentrager auf E-100 is a different ball game. Incredible burst damage output, but the reload is 50 seconds or so with a trained crew, equipment and chocolate.

They all have that glass cannon style, but get progressively more health, and less camo value. The tier 10 waffle is surprisingly durable due to its health pool, but the gun shield is an enormous target with effectively no armour.

That's an accurate description of them all.

The Borsig is a very dangerous TD, but not as ridiculously stealthy as it once was due to TDs losing their camo value when they fire now. The stock gun is the best one. The second gun is great for de-tracking and bouncing off the front of tanks. It's also got mediocre accuracy and the long reload makes self defence harder.

The tier 9 is OK, but nothing special. It's more of a long range sniper than the Borsig. If you use the Borsig's stock 128mm gun you don't need to get the tracks first to mount it, because its lighter. I'm close to getting the second 128mm gun, which is the same as the Jagdtiger's top gun. That has more pen & damage, with only a slightly longer reload.

I have played the tier 10 several times on the test server and it's very overrated. It's extremely vulnerable to anything and the long reload just cripples it. I will not be getting one. You'd probably have a decent game with it every 15 attempts, but the rest will be frustration as you camp at the back trying not to be spotted & wrecked by all the enemy artillery at once.

Thanks for your input, yes the Waffle always seems to be easily spotted, whereas with full cammo and paint, you're virtually invisible, and can snipe away to your hearts content.. biggrin

The E25 camo/paint and crew with camo is a great little tank T7 to hide and snipe. Borsig is good fun but find the E25 one of the most fun tanks going. Keep relocating and the map is your oyster.

I'm sure, it is very impressive in the right hands, however I'm getting too old for light tanks, and my fingers can't keep up!

are you more of a bludgen to death type with thick armour? trouble with that is that armour does not hold up to gold well these days. In the early days I would agree and would shake in my tracks when I saw a E75 etc

French tanks announced on the Xbox WOT website. No sign of the SPG line, which is what I really want to play. I'll have to start doing some research as the crew I've been training in my FCM36Pak40 will be put to use in something, but it the medium/heavy line or TD. I quite like the look of the French TDs, they won't all be as devastating as the FCM36 but it looks like they've got some good ones.

However, I am also sad because the French announcement means that we are probably still 8 weeks minimum from getting the Porsche line, and I want that bloody Maus. Until that beast turns up, I just keep pummelling the matches in Mini Maus

One day...

No not really, I make my credits with a Löwe, and the armour on that is nothing special.. So I avoid brawling and side swipe as much as possible..

The scale is a bit exaggerated in that picture of the Maus. An average height man wouldn't be far off the top of the hull.

It doesn't look a million miles off, though I will concede he is probably a small man, as far as men in paintings go.
