It is doubtful you will see tons of nerds queued up outside games shops. The true nerds will have, like myself gone for the digital upgrade option to play as soon as it goes live.

I'm going to attempt to go from 11pm tonight through to sometime Tuesday night/Wednesday morning where I will probably collapse in a pool of nerdoplasm.

You'll be like that korean bloke who died after a 2day long starcraft binge.

oh and yes to the digital download.

A South Korean man has died after reportedly playing an online computer game for 50 hours with few breaks.

Bah... What that man needed was some serious Spirit Regen!

See "Pure Pwnage" for their WoW/Excessive gaming episode... funny stuff! hehe

"Dude, you don't look weel. When was the last time you drank something...?"

I don't need to drink! My spirit is so high that I never need to drink man!...

Almost as good as the "FPS Doug" episode...

We must be the very definition of casual - we've told our raiders to be level 85 by Jan 1st. Got several people chasing very specific realm firsts (professions, classes etc).

Personally - I shall log on early, find the instance entrances then beat a hasty retreat back into Icecrown then delay for a couple of days to avoid the 30 people competing for each quest mob problem.

Just finished levelling a healing alt which has meant the last few days have been spent enduring the ordeal that is the RDF - I foresee pain, much pain, for the majority of people I've been "enjoying" the content with over those last days.

I'm kinda tempted to come back - I enjoy(ed) the first 60 levels of WoW the most...I actually enjoy the levelling & questing more than the end game. Shame that some foreigner hacked my inactive account and stripped all my characters. Blizzard said I had to re-activate my account and contact a GM to get it back ... so now they're all naked. Not that its a problem, all gear becomes useless with a new expansion anyway.

I'll have to rope some of my mates into it though, the games as dull as dishwater on your own, and relying on the community is, well, akin to banging you head against a wall.

apart from spending 40 mins to go on I quite liked the new quests only got 1/3 of a level done but got the seahorse and quite enjoyed the vash zone, wasn't as much contesting for mobs as I thought there'd be but I'm guessing tomorrow will be very different.

The thing is though how the hell did people get server firsts for cooking, mining, herbalism, skinning and the one that baffled me FISHING!!! within 1 hour of launch? What the fk was that all about....

Oh and how fking cool are guild rewards, we've got 5% xp boost and should have the 10% speed boost to our mounts by now, logged off when we were at 80%.

A Horde character has reached level 85 THIS MORNING...

Therefore I surmise that the beta testing was piss poor as either, a leveling loophole was undiscovered/not reported or there's not nearly enough content to chew through.

More than likely its guild-assisted power levelling. Grab ten of your guild members, leave yourself out of the group, "tag" mobs then get others to kill them. You get the full XP. Rinse and repeat.

Played until 2 this morning, level 81. Did some errands after waking up, played from about 12, now 82 1/2.

The new questing model is awesome and even 11pm last night wasn't awful for quest mob competition.

Vashj'ir is definately better for the busy times then Hyjal. Just ran through BRC for the daily dungeon. If you were creaming level 80 HCs then you will with this. Normals are AoE fests still. With the boss-kill quests and 104k xp for the daily the first run through netted me ~400k xp. In 20 mins.

Pretty sick.

Our guild level got nerfed back to to 0 =[ damn them.... oh well 5% bonus for me today then.

We had 3 85's in our guild as of 10pm last night and I'm now at 82.5 Still finding questing boring but luckily it's going quite fast and I'm just doing random dungeons every hour or so to keep things fun.

Hit 82 and a bit last night and had well and truly had enough of questing by then. I personally don't enjoy the questing/levelling process at all but Blizzard have succeeded in making it almost bearable.

Even vehicle quests which are normally the absolute lowest form of "entertainment" in WoW seemed to work well and be nicely implemented.

I think they did a nice job with the mini quest hub approach and didn't find myself stuck in those endless quest loops where you fly somewhere remote do something, fly all the way back only to be sent back to the remote place again.

Quest mob camping by 9:00pm last night was just getting daft so I bowed out at that point

Was anyone else shocked by the sheer number of people who it appears have never, ever, played this game before from a levelling/questing point of view?

/1 was full of Where I get Qs plox? and Can I haz fly in Az now?

Oh well back to Deepholme tonight only 3.7million to go till 83

Yes, I noticed that too... people constantly it seems going 'balls first' into it and spamming /1 before actually reading the quest log!

After spending a few months away from the game I actually picked up the expansion yesterday and did a bit of leveling last night, around halfway to 81 but got tired of the camping for quest mobs and people parked on mammoths on quest givers so went and leveled Archaeology on an alt for a while which was a lot more peaceful.

Gnubee are you still on BDF?

Plaice, for my sins yes. Can't seem to escape the realm too many friends and a huge investment in time, emotion and effort in the guild keep me firmly rooted there.

Is your character name the same name as on here? I'll give you a /w this evening if you're on.

Would've checked the armory but seems they've taken it offline at the moment.

Same with me, I have far too many ties on the server to move to another one.

Jovomila is my main, Aboreal is my alt (I know, I know it's spelt wrong and a stereo-type for a druid but I needed a name really quickly for anti-stalking reasons)
