The light tank was pretty much an armoured sniper rifle and with quick mobility, was also an infantry lawnmower to boot. Feared that more then the heavy tank!!!! the open terrain for the beta map also meant easy pickings with armoured vehicles which I thought the majority of the BF community would by now of understood (BC2 Heavy metal a great example, tank sniping paradise)

I think the fact that explosives don't "stick" and the AT rifle wasn't overly powerful meant a lot of the "It's OP" comments. The deployable launcher I found pretty useful but only if 1 or 2 other players in the vicinity were also using one to assist taking a tank down.

My only gripe with the beta vehicle wise was the ability to self repair inside the vehicle. Big negative for me.

Played some campaign on Origin Access last night (MP was still downloading). Intense stuff, great graphics, fun to play. It's even poignant at times. Multiplayer tonight, so I'm sure any hopes the devs had about players considering the atrocities of war will be lost among the YOLOS and parental sexual relation based slurs. Still, looking forward to it biggrin

Tanks were great if you could fill one. In the beta I just used it to capture points without being totally shot to pieces (still exploded after a while though)

I cancelled my digital pre-order after a case of deja vu hit me... £70 for a pre-order (or £50 for the non deluxe) that probably won't work as well as it should, the servers will inevitably fall to st... so i'm delaying 2 weeks to allow for patches and the buzz to fall off... Plus it's £40 for a physical copy... Saving the price of another game... NO premium for me this time around either.

hehe

I give it a week after the first dlc drop before you cave... That's what I did on '4 after swearing I wouldn't line EA's pockets anymore!

You'd miss us too much...

No hardcore in the early access is annoying, no one seems to die when they are clearly shot in the face hehe

is everyone pumped for this game ?
Kind of, just struggling to finish off some bits I want to do in BF4 before it comes out, my dream of getting all the dogtags and medals etc is going to have to end I think.
Wow, I count myself as a completionist when it comes to BF games (had all medals and assignments in BF3 and BF4), but even I baulk at trying to get all the dogtags - how were you planning to get all the service star ones for the vehicles etc? I'm not sure there's enough time in the average lifetime?! laugh
I'm failing miserably, I still have assignments outstanding and having spent a week trying to get the Phantom Bow dogtag I think it's time to call it a day and move onto BF1.

Having said that I'm currently trying the community mission with the M1911 pistol to try and get BF1 content.

So what's the best deal out there for this? I only got into BF with no. 4 so I'm happy with what I have seen so far. Only decent FPS out there.

Been watching a few early YouTube plays and it's looking pretty good to me!

Plus if I turn out to be rubbish then I can blame it all on switching from Xbox to PS4 hehe

I really enjoyed the beta but just can't bring myself to pay the guts of £100 for the full game.

Much appreciated but I've just slogged it out and managed it. I think there are a fair few hours left until it finishes though so if anyone wants a hand or someone to shoot give me a shout.

Alrite!

I am dead excited to start playing this game upon release tonight, assuming the server's don't crash around us like the Hindenburg...

Been playing since 1942 and am absolutely ecstatic to see a period battlefield game, its been a long time coming smile

Anyway so moving on to more important things; do people use TeamSpeak these days or is there an in game voice chat function?

Is there is a list of a PH battlefield 1 players with chat? Unfortunately I don't know any other BF1 players and so if anybody needs an extra person in their squad please let me know smile

Edit: Totally forgot to add that I have a PC copy!

Can't answer the chat one tbh but i'd imagine people would set up the party function within the ps screen and invite people into it.

As for a list yes there is a wiki you can add your PSN name to here and see others http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The fact that he is talking about teamspeak and chat functions probably means he is on a PC not a playstation. smile

There are a bunch of PC players here who I'm sure will be along shortly but the majority of BF'ers on PH seem to be on PS4.
