Yeah I'm running 2x7970 ghz editions with 8 core but sadly my prossesor cant keep up with them I'll see what the new 4770k's are like or I might get the 9590amd
I'm getting a 500gb ssd for 200 putting my origin and os on it and steam games are already on my 1 tb drive

That was my plan- mirror my 250gb hard drive onto the 250gb SSD, then move everything except the OS and Origin onto the 1.5tb hybrid drive. I get the hardware through my cousin's neighbour who works in the industry (they are now up 14 gaming rigs between them! ) which gets me a decent discount.

As for the card I don't get enough use out of my PC to warrant spending big money on a 'current' high spec graphics card (that is only going to drop in value) so it will likely be a second hand 7970 or R9 out of one of his spare machines.

I have the HD7870.

I currently believe there aren't enough fans on earth for this beast. It's not even a top of the range GFX card.

Yet I'm running the R9 270 which is effectively the same card but reduced power and higher bandwidth bus - cool and quiet.


Your fans aren't fighting each other air-flow direction wise ?

Or have you tried using trixx and changing the fan speed profile?

The tivver is a bigger gamble!!

I just sold my kit car, and I should probably use the money for a house deposit... or keep it because if I move jobs & loose the co. car, I will need my own car... so I do not need to spend that cash.

But something's telling me to part ex my bike, against a litre v-twin with a snatchy throttle and no wind protection.

Hmm my case is about a yr old so must be 2/3 yrs lol

I think its a couple of years old now.

No gaming still cos my home plug adapter stopped working and i keep forgetting to buy a new one! Currently on my wireless but its hopeless so im going to do my blood pressure a favour and not bother trying to get in game. Will probably take me 5 years to download the patches ive missed.

I'm good thanks. I have Payday two which is a pretty bloody good cops V robbers game. I'll wait till I see at least 3 - 4 months of reviews before I even think of buying.
