I've got the love, cant help feeling they spent too long fixing broken stuff or making stupid decisions

With BF1 stuff kept coming... now they have just given up.

New BF game maybe around this time next year...
PS5 is due out or meant to be out at the end of the year/Q1 next

I'm sure they said on an earnings call last year the next BF game wouldn't be until 2022. Respawn are working on a new Medal of Honor game though so that might be later this year or early next. Not heard or seen anything about it though.

Cant see there being many takers based on BFV. They've repeatedly bludgeoned it to death and now just as things are (very, very sort of) starting to work they're abandoning it to make something else?

I've played BF since they started but even I think I'll be ditching the franchise.

The only thing that might bring me back is a new bad company game, but I'd be waiting at least 3 months from launch before even considering it.

Been playing BF1 again this week, a much better game I can’t help but admit.

That’s not to say BFV hasn’t ended up a half decent game though.

Bf6 is apparently in the making or will be, release date next year at some point.

No other details given, so I'm guessing November release

PS5 focus presumably?

If BFV ends where it's planned to does that mean the Germans will win?

Seems little point in playing BFV now if you give even the slightest st about winning. As long as you sit miles from an objective a get a dozen snipes in then you are golden. If you PTO you just get mullered trying to push forward when you are outnumbered.

yep think so, we already speak German as such anyway so....

Im kinda annoyed that the did the pacific maps, given that they said they was going to concentrate on the battles that no-one knew about. We could have had Burma with the almost fall of the lines on the border, fall of Singapore, or back in Europe the night time raids on the African coastline, invasion of italy or defence of Malta etc.

Why would anyone want to play BF6 based on the way EA have shat on everyone playing BF5? It's disgusting the way they treat customers.

Releasing a half finished game was bad enough. But abandoning it now and expecting people to just pay for the next one stinks.

Last BF game I bought was 1. Glad I didnt bother with 5 and won't be buying anymore.

BF will end up like FIFA. New game every year and new price tag too. hehe

Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 were great.

Because we're lemmings thats why....

TBH if you want this sort of game, what other options are there?
COD?
Then youve got the Battle Royale games that bore me, of PUBG, Fortnite, Apex?

I think this BF suffered due the rise in BR games popularity. They released their own version too late and by then alot had moved on due to the issues. They lost others when they fked around with the guns at Xmas for the newbs and made any new gun way OP (type 2a, M2 carbine, bar).

Some i used to play with cried that it wasnt modern as they like to add on all the different/modern scopes and stuff yet ive preferred BF1/5 for this reason. PLayed Bf4 a few times recently and theres just no point sometimes with the thermal vision. Plus the hit detection is all over the shop on BF4 where as BF5 is alot better. If they region locked it or got rid of thing that penalises low ping players, it would be great

It's a shame that a once great series has gone this way. Fortunately, I personally dont want a game like that enough to just think 'stuff it'and hand over my money to EA.

yep, jihadi jeeps and the like were great fun in bf4 but they stopped that in further iterations.

though its good that you have to go back to base or ammo dump to resupply your vehicle/grenades. Was on Siege of Shanghai on '4 the other week and the chopper wes became impossible to deal with, all they had to do was pop behind a building, auto-self heal and job done. Now youve got to fly and heal and hope not be attacked in the mean time.

I do think spotting flares should be banned (and i drop st loads on the Pacific war maps) and should do it so that the snipers or if spotted, then they appear to pilots as its toooooo easy to rack up kills at the moment and can stop a game easily

Having played online FPS for 20 years I don’t say this lightly.

Breakthrough on Pacific Storm as an attacking team is the worst level design I have ever seen. It’s the gaming equivalent of D-Day. I have PTSD from landing and been repeatedly killed. Never again!!
