yikes Some of these cars sound pretty good!
.......and ALL sound better than they did in GT5!

Where did you find it, I've only found the difficulty slider for Arcade mode in the options.

I found the slider for A1 difficulty/aggression but that only changes them in ARCADE mode.

Apologies if this is a silly question but have you been through the options menu and mapped the buttons?

You can set all the buttons up how you want them in the settings menus

I've just checked online settings and you can no longer set a pp limit or bhp or tyres for that matter - really odd
I had the no sound thing just now (the Clio was odd with no engine note lol)
I paused and hit restart then it was fine.




I've not tried setting up my own lobby but have joined a few.
Have you done all the updates? Just thinking out loud mate.

Physics: Great. Better than GT5. Lovely progression of grip loss on the CS tyres.

Tracks: New ones are all good. Love the crazy Matterhorn ones.

Cars: Lots of greats missed. No 205 GTi, no F355, No 458 GT3, no Panda 100hp tut tut. Most of the new ones are good though.

Single Player: Pathetic AI and low difficulty level means the whole game is based on getting past mobile chicanes which are normally at the apex of every corner by the time I get there, as their corner speed is so low. Seems to be a few more races now. Goodwood is fun, the moon was pointless.

General: UI is much better (other than the OKing all the bloody time as Viper says) and the garage system really works for me. What is the Stockyard all about? Customisation is still poor but the wheel selection is good. I have not been on-line yet. Hurry up with the track editor Kaz.

Overall a good purchase and with the PHPCC this game should run and run just like GT5.
I was sure I've raced against a Panda 100bhp, it might come as DLC if that is the case

This is one of my major issues with the game.

What real life motorsport starts a race like this? Its either a standing start or a rolling start side by side. This is what is should be in the game. Nobody wants a rolling start when each cars are 2 or 3 seconds apart going overt the line.
+1 - and more to the point IMO, is that GT1, GT2, GT3, even GT4 at times all had standing starts. Why no more? It's not like it's something new they've never done. It says a lot IMO that GT5 is the first one in the series (including prologues and concepts) I haven't completed to 100%. The 'catch the leader' scenarios are so soporific, because to close down the leader invariably you need to be so much quicker over a single lap to recover the lost time (especially when the track is really short - GT5 seasonal events are terrible for this - 30 secs to gain over 5 laps of London is near impossible), so close racing doesn't happen, you just stroll past as you hunt the leader down.

The most fun times I've had are when I've been sat right on someone's bumper for lap after lap, trying to find that opportunity to squeeze ahead. It infuriates me that they still overlook this fundamental issue.
Agreed, some of the seasonal events in GT5 were very very difficult due to the highlighed point you make. Its also quite stressful (first world problems hehe ) to always be chasing cars who are 20 secs ahead, knowing you only have 3 laps to do it! I do enjoy hunting them down though, but it means that you're not actually enjoying the driving, you're constantly chasing too much to enjoy it, if that makes sense?!

We should start a petition for standing starts!
It is odd that GT6 can handle standing starts in Multiplayer but not in solo career!
The way I see it is Solo career is just a CR grind to buy cars for online racing.

Yep I've seen it a couple of times, never in Multiplayer though so didn't really care enough to comment on it.

Just doone the X Bow up Goodwood, probably the most fun I've had in a GT game ever. Felt really good, snappy as it should be.
I spent about an hour in the KTM around Spa tonight cloud9 it is my favourite car so far

Yup. Same as in GT5. If you don't click start race for a while it'll load so when you do click it, it'll load faster, as it were. Either way, you've got to wait.

Yes.
So far none of the cars sound as bad as they did in GT5.

Sounds best through headphones or a decent surround set-up though.

It is, you get it for getting all gold in the first Goodwood events, well worth it!

You can notice this in the dealership section. It takes a few seconds for each page of cars to load the first time but then after it's pretty much instant.
