I think I have encountered a bug. I had to collect a number of sensors for a scientist under a tree - one of which I had to buy. They buying scene had me run the dialog twice and the money taken twice.... but now one of the sensors is marked as stolen.... so I cannot complete the quest and cannot get rid of. Hopefully at some point I'll find some mechanism that is permitted to remove its tainted status.

Finished off my ship, swapped out all the Stroud-Eklund/Nova and other non-matching habitation modules with Deimos parts so have Deimos themed engineering, recreation room, living quarters, brig, mess hall, battle stations, computer room, armoury, infirmary and captains quarters all installed.

It was all too much for Sarah.

My first attempt at a Millennium Falcon, I was still at Deimos Station so it's using only parts available there.

Used the Deimos Aegis as the donor ship.

No wait, thats not it either, put them in the weapons racks, leave the ship, come back onboard and they're all gone.
Is the ship registered to you, have you been to a dock since getting it and gone into ship management to register it?

Could be it's not officially yours yet until you do. Mine don't disappear when I put them on display in the armoury.

I've not done that quest, does someone give you it, or do you just take it at the end?

I thought that was only if you stole a ship?
Just coming back to this, if you have a ship and you add weapons to weapon racks, then swap ships and come back they will no longer be on the racks, they will be in the ship's cargo. If that's what happened.

Quick go at making a Star Trek Federation Starship. Had to compromise on the bridge/cockpit I had a different style bridge top centre but then couldn't find anywhere to put the docker, a companionway behind the bridge with the docker on top just made a mess of ladder access. It's off centre now but out of the way.

Engineering hab centre with arms off to science lab one side and workshop the other.

Just need to find some structural parts to fit either side of the saucer access companionway to make it look smoother.

I haven't been tempted to use the batch file to allow for bigger ships to be built. At least not until a mod way is there to do it.

Finding some angled pieces was easier than I expected.

How do you fix your ship? I'm pressing the right button to fix but nothing is happening. Do you need certain items to do this?
You need ship parts to repair them in space. You can get ship parts in any general goods store, Trade Authority sell them and others. I think I have picked up lots just from scavenging ships I have destroyed.

Has anyone got a good method of clearing the crap out of the cargo hold when you have been deleting modules in a ship build (if you didn't know everything that was inside the module is put into your ship cargo hold).

I can't sell it in one go because traders don't have enough credits, I can't move anywhere quickly because of being over encumbered although the usual tgm console code can get me running without dying. I have bought the small apartment in Akila and dumped a lot in there, I have jettisoned it into space. Containers have limited capacity in outposts and the only other way that works is to carry everything and fast travel direct to the Lodge and dump it all in the never ending container downstairs.

But there must another way?

I don't want 128 Succulents, 140 Eggberts, or 150 dumbbells.

That's what opening the console and typing "tgm" does but having to visit many different traders in different locations would be very tedious to sell 4000 tons of cargo.

But if anyone is stuck making credits that's the way to go.

Well I’m loving it, level 9 now and just done the Mantis layer mission as someone hinted the ship at the end was better than upgrading.

One annoyance though, being a bit ocd stepped onto the new ship and saw all the weapons racks, ace loaded them up. Make it your home ship and they all vanish, had to go back to a previous save.
Seems it's a bug fixed with the latest update - https://youtu.be/uXGweX-B-uk?t=268
