Do you have the full 16 people this week? If not can I be a guest driver?
was waiting for Y2blade to mention something or contact me but not heard anything, first of all he wants to take part, then says its too anal please remove me, then he just turns up on a championship night & says he wants to race again etc etc so if you want the final place I'm personally with it, but to be fair it's a decision made by the rest of the players, so if no objections from anyone by end of play today I'll edit Page 1 to include you, need your choice of 2 x different cars though (please no more R8s )

Well, didn't Ian get his PS3 fixed now and wanted to take part. As long as he can play then i think it's fair.so if you want the final place I'm personally with it, but to be fair it's a decision made by the rest of the players, so if no objections from anyone by end of play today I'll edit Page 1 to include you, need your choice of 2 x different cars though (please no more R8s )

run it into the ground without an oil change put it running overnight in a Bspec endurance race or something. it'll do cack compared to the race cars but should bring the bhp down.
full throttle overnight resulted in 589hp which I think is about 6hp over the 583hp it should be (1768kg), would have gone for the R8 but didn't want the grid to be full of them so took a stand as it turns out, the 5.2 R8 with less power is still quicker down the straight thought power was close enough for it not to bother anyone but quite happy to let it go if people think I should change but I think you know what I'd change too
its not loosing anymore power that I've noticed so maybe its at the 'loss' limits ?? think it'll be looking forward to an engine overhaul after the series
ps - sorry about last night, I got disconnected then went b spec grinding, its was so much easier in the 5.2 R8 compared to the SLR.

Norbury I don't know what u mean? I haven't got that slow have I?
The way forward would be to run a championship based on the rules we used for time trailing in prologue.
Standard motors same tyres but different car each week.
Yeah that would be cool, we should just keep running the sunday night championship after its finished in this format would be great fun.The way forward would be to run a championship based on the rules we used for time trailing in prologue.

sounds maybe each week one person gets to vote for which car is to be used? I would love to race the original mini round the ring
Daz - how much are you looking forward to the wet ring race in the M5? had a go in it yesterday, it'll be quite tiring I think is yours non weight reduced high HP?
think I will be happy with a mid pack result on this track tbo as am way off those times, in either guise.
I'm thinking of using the roof view as well so I can be more aware of what's around me, its going to be tight with a big field but hopefully people are more used to the big pack by now......

Nick - I'll host tonight my connection been rock solid last few nights and no connections issues.
I must admit, after last weeks success for everyone I'm leaning toward hosting again, did you host the first week at Laguna?I'm wondering if Sunday eve gaming in the UK is a little too big for the UK network and although my connection speed is low maybe the French network is more stable??
really dont want a repeat of that first week, you ok setting up as a back up? like last week....
having said that, it'll probably all be different this week but think it best go with what has worked best so far, no?

why not just open the lounge at some point during or before top gear so it's all ready and running for when top gear finishes, so leave it on free run for 20-30mins or whatever you usually do and start the race at 9:30 or so?
thats exactly what normally happens, lat week we just let qual run on from practice as not many people are about before TG finishes anyway.I'll start the room about 7pm which gives people some time before TG to make sure they can actually get on, Richy, send me a request if your not already a friend (think you are though. Good racing again guys I think R2 start is always going to be a bit mayhem tbo as the guys at the front feel the pressure from behind, but its a good chance for back runners to be at the front & get some practice there, plus a good chance for faster drivers to exercise control with their overtaking (looking at replays, I for one need that!)
R1 toe too toe with Norbury again with Daz pressuring us on the straights (CSL was quick ) for a few laps, swapping the lead a couple of times Norbury held back after a pass at last hairpin, watching the replay I dont think it was necessary, I closed in on you from the outside but you were already a fair way into your move, but thanks anyway
R2 great racing with Mini & Viper mid pack lost count of the amount of times we swapped positions, both your R8s were quicker out of the corner but by the end of the straight the SLR had enough leggs to JUST get passed (bit of a squeeze though )

Hey guys, sorry I couldnt make it last night. I went Karting last night, one of those open championship thingys! I thought we would be finished in time but the sesion was backed up from earlier so didnt make it back till just before 10!
On a more upbeat note, and to further my PH and GT5 credentials, I only went and won the bugger!
=D
Normal service shall resume next week!

Guys just so you are all aware I have drafted the rules for the next championship and will post these next week once we have two weeks left of current champ.
So keep an eye out for new thread (probably Monday) for championship number 2!
There are some big changes but I think it will give us more variety and user input which will hopefully mix up race results.
Good stuff Dice look forward to seeing it So keep an eye out for new thread (probably Monday) for championship number 2!

As rightly pointed out, It is the 24hr track as this is the only version that carries the wet option.
I will set up a room for 7pm again to give people a chance to test connection, Dice, If you could set up a back up room for Sunday as usual though that'd be as I'm in a UK location this time and not sure what it'll be like
I (or Dice) will start a race just before 9pm, if everyone that is there at that point could then quit that race so we can start the official one that'd be
straight into Qualy at 9pm as per original format.
I know in past weeks we have just been letting the room that's already up, roll straight into qualy, but this week it would lay down to much of an advantage to the non TopGear watching group I think, so best is 1/2 hr for everyone.
See you Sunday guys
Page 1 down still as I'm hoping some software someone sent me can collate the race results and make it all look a little more interesting, will be handy for Dice in Championship 2 organising as well (hopefully)
On iphone at mo though so not poss until tomorrow.

Nick - can you confirm we are running with grip levels set to real?
I have tried low v real and there is a huge difference in times due to the massive grip difference between the two settings.
I would say run the real setting - which I normally have on when we run on weeknights.
For those that havent tried this - i am getting wheel spin in 5th in my 400/1200 car. 911 (333 car) will spin up in 6th with a small amount of lock applied!

how about I set it to 'low' at 7pm to see how we get on, if a change is needed we can do that for the main event???
