Been having a bit of a funny the last couple days. Dunno if it’s related to my internet being especially slow but there have been hardly any AI cars in free roam. Just driving around the map finding roads n boards and would see maybe 3-5 other cars in 20 mins.

I was going up and down the motorway the other night to do the 10 daredevils part of the weekly forzathon, the cars do only show up in numbers at a certain time of the day in the day/night cycle.

If you go into Horizon solo there will be far more AI traffic. In fact I play exclusively in this mode now aside from the hourly Forzathon, since ironically that world feels far more alive

Beautiful game, been a few days now.

I think the only good thing about it though is the fact it’s based here in the UK and the roads are familiar, Horizion 3 had the widest roads and the flattest land, zero character about the scenery.

I’m not progressing that much, I earned 500k doing next to F all, just using the money to drive M3’s, current favourite is the E92 M3, realistic but you can feel the weight of the car in the game, I’d love to drive one in real life.

I’m not interested in the really fast cars in this game, I won a 991 GT2 RS and that’s just ridiculously fast, barely controllable, it was much better to drive in Forza Motorsport 7 as you can pick big circuits.

Is there a way you can try complete the game using cars with no more than 450 bhp?

Not sure about races and whether you can custom race all of them without high power cars, but you'll need powerful cars to do the 200mph+ speed traps and long jump distance Danger Signs.

The races should match to what you turn up in.
Race a B class car and the AI should be similar.
If you want to reach all the milestones and complete the game as much as possible then you will probably have to use tuned cars.
The whole point though is that the game is a sandbox, drive what you want. But if you spend all the time driving round in a Fiat 500 admiring the scenery, you will miss a lot of what the game offers and you will be back here complaining the game is boring.
To 3 star speed and drift zones you will need faster cars.

I'm on the gamepass version and rarely see any online players, is there a difference with the paid version?

You have to have completed the Prologue and be connected to Horizon Life, then you will see other players as grey circles driving around.

Just to clarify I didn't mean I didn't see many other players cars, just no traffic in general. It was like driving round a deserted island.

I agree with this. The traffic is a little light, sometimes non-existent.

Weirdly last night though I came across a line of maybe 5 or 6 cars behind a lorry! I don't know if it was a weird glitch or an update. Should have took a picture.

Would have been great for getting the Daredevil Forzathon achievement, but it wasn't working for me, I think you must have to complete them in order?? I haven't got the skill points built up yet. Either that, or another glitch.

Odd question but am trying to work this out.

I used to have Gold account on my XB1 but i dont have the console now as i went back to PC gaming.
However if i want to play Horizon 4 on PC do i need to have a gold account or not? I.e. can i play the game and have other people in the world, but cannot take part in multiplayer games races etc?

Switch to Horizon Solo, then you will see more traffic.
Personally I am glad they reduced the amount of traffic, there was too much in FH3 and it got in the way too much. It is a racing game after all not a traffic simulator.

And with the Forzathons they always have to be done in order, everyone seems to want to start in the middle.

What car is everyone using to 3 star the Speed Traps and Speed Zones?

Some are just impossible!

Bugatti veyron.

Seems obvious I know but most cars won't hold 230 for long and the veryron gets up too the required speed reasonably fast.

Agerra for the traps, Senna for the tarmac zones, Nomad for the dirt zones

The 959 rally car with the hybrid V8 from the 918 is good for winter/dirt/rally too.

To be more precise, the tunes I used to 3 star all the PR stunts:

Speed traps: Agera RS with 280 mph insane tune by Weebok
Speed zones tarmac: Senna with x class monster tune by Don Joewon Song
Speed zones dirt: Nomad with darkar tune by professeurben (probably could have found a better car in retrospect as it's just too light)
Jumps: the Agera for most, the Nomad for ones with a bumpy run up
Drift zones: Formula Drift Viper with the drift zone tune by Tiptronik

I've just got a couple of dirt speed zones that I am just shy of 3 stars.
Been using the Hoonigan Escort.
Yeah the Nomad is a bit too twitchy for me.
Any other suggestions?
