I liked the T25/2 as well and found it more deadly and easier to play than the T25AT.

I only really played the T25AT to unlock the second gun on the T28Prot, as I figured it would be easier do so at tier 7 than at tier 8. That gun is fine on the T28Prot, but I now have the big gun for it.

Since it's on offer I have now actually bought the T28, but I don't have a crew free to play it yet. I'll need the tracks to mount the main gun on it anyway,

2,240 games into the T25, I've a winrate of 55% on it, vs 51% on the T25/2.

Winrate on both the T28's is noticeably lower, which is why I've not bought either of the T9 TD's yet. That and I'm still grinding out the T32 and Ferdy, first.

I've given up trying to grind out tracks on anything; I just use free XP on them for pretty much every vehicle.

I don't really like playing the same tanks over and over these days. I'd rather try out a new one for the challenge, even if it can be a struggle sometimes.

I played 86 games in the T25/2 and killed 150 tanks with a 53% win rate. Died 40 times.

I played 90 games in the T25AT and killed 116 tanks with a 48% win rate. Died 49 times.

The T25AT wasn't that bad, it just seemed to get more idiot teams. Some tanks are like that. It also had a new crew with no extra skills.

So far with the T28Prot = 65 games, 88 kills and a 53% win rate. Died 28 times.

Sure it's slow, but I quite like it somehow.

I'll probably free XP the tracks on the T28 before I play it. That won't be for some time.

fk off t57 heavies. seriously.. every fkin tier 10 game, you cant bounce their shots, they don't miss, they reload far too quickly and do about 100 damage too much per shot or have too many shells in the clip

Might start shooting the ones on my team I hate them that much. With my FV183.
Must admit I don't like them much.

Last game in the Maus I rammed one to death which was nice, up close he bounced every shot.

Ever since upgrading my gun on the Jagdpanther to the 8.8 I seem to be getting put in more matches with tier IX tanks, which is a fking pain. When one of those turns up, pretty much all I can do is hide. I shot a tier IX heavy up the arse before, reticule went red so I knew I had a good chance of penetrating, fired and scored a good hit, only to see about 10% of his health bar deplete. As he destroyed the tank in front of him, he knew where I was now, so just turned around and killed me too.

The JPanther is too damn slow and it's turn speed is st. It's still my favourite tank to play as though. I've claimed a few Tiger and Tiger II scalps so far. I'm really loving coming up against Churchill IIs also, in the last few German tank destroyers, I've barely been able to penetrate them, they've been a menace to me, but now, at tier VII, and using a tier VIII gun, I've turned the tables. Churchill IIs are perhaps the most vulnerable tank I've come across when using my Jpanther, they are huge targets, they are too slow to turn to point their strong armour towards me quickly enough once I open fire, and my 8.8 gun seems to penetrate just about any of their armour, from any angle about 90% of the time, as well as regularly tracking them and doing spill-over damage (from the shot "carrying on" though the target after destroying a module, something I didn't realise was possible until recently), blowing up ammo racks, knocking out engines, starting fuel tank firs etc. What fun.

That JagdPanther is an excellent beast, especially with a good crew. The good news is the next tanks up are just as good smile

I'm struggling with it tbh, I seem to get st luck! For every game I seem to be a crusher destroyer, hunting down Tiger IIs and trampling everything under foot, I seem to have two where I simply can't penetrate anything I aim at, even bouncing off tier VIs with my Tier VIII 8.8 gun. I also seem to get st teams when I'm in the Jpanther, lily-livered tts who despite being in heavily armoured, well armed tanks of the heavy and medium variety, simply won't move up to spot targets, meaning me and the other TDs are stuck like a bunch of lemons with nothing to shoot at, and much less able to defend ourselves when the enemy take the initiative and attack us.

This was felt heavily as I tried for my first win today, as its been triple experience for the first win of the day this weekend, I must have played 10 games and couldn't get a win, so I immediately went out in my VK 36.01 (a tank that was dreadful until I put the right gun and engine package on it), and got a great team who attacked the objective on a Lakeville encounter battle and we won within minutes. I'm hoping that the RNG will take mercy on me once I put some binoculars and a 105 gun on the Jpanther.

Not my day today, out of 10 games lost 8 with various tanks.
Arty was on my case in 3 of them, cannot quite understand it as was in matilda one time against v and v1's and he was after my arse.
Why not shoot higher tiers? I moved after fist shot little later he got me in a different location so he was watching me for the whole time.
Bought hellcat again and has not started well 2 loses in a row, this time though I have top gun loaded thanks to free xp so shall persevere.
Once two shoted and next game one pop saw me off.

Great fight bstb3, must have been very satisfying.

got the top gun on the SU-152 now

the stock 152mm is fun, but it trolls you more than its worth

now, that fast firing 122mm every 6.39 seconds, now thats nice.

but to many n00bs on your own team see the long gun and dont clock its a SU-152, they think its a BL10'd ISU-152

and they play accordingly

fools, its just the 175pen/390dmg 122mm

Thanks - was nerve wracking to be honest, luckily I hadn't realised how precarious it was until it was 6 enemy left versus 2 of us. Once it went down to 5 left versus me, with 3 of them Arty, I was just waiting to explode the whole time. The amount of shells that landed near me was incredible, just luck they missed. After killing the Type 59 & Cromwell, and with just the 3 arty to go, I was sure my time was up, slowly moving along the valley floor. As I passed a house the damn thing just evaporated as a shell hit it - took 10 minutes to unclench after that laugh

Not quite sure what the enemy arties were doing at the end, they could have ninja capped so easily but they all seemed to wait in a old wives huddle for me to turn up. Beginners luck I reckon.

I know what you mean about arty too, frustrating when they seem determined to get you when there are easier, more valuable, targets available. I think sometimes its because they see the low tier tanks as easy kills, rather than getting a 100 hp or so splash damage of a bigger tier. You will grow especially fond of them in the Hellcat, especially those damn FV304's with that 11 second reload - they chase Hellcats all the time as they are about the only Tier 6 they can reliably penetrate frown

I think I'd have been shaking a little after a game like that.

The viaduct was protecting you to some extent, but that house took a GW Tiger P hit I think. Some arty players single out the best players on the other team, so you have to be especially wary. Sometimes you can just feel that aiming oval tightening around you.

If you'd loaded HE you could have one shot the GW Tiger and Lorraine 155. I usually forget to change over in the heat of the moment too.

The arties were hilarious exposed in the middle of the cliff as I was cringing and waiting for a big bang from somewhere unknown when you got on top of the ridge and to my surprise there they were all together, to make it even worse they could not even shoot you from their posotion so I wonder what their plan was.

Never thought of that, i carry a few HE for those kind of situations too lol. It was a bugger on the nerves leaving them on low health like that. Not sure if i would have survived the GW Tiger P ram that it tried...

Im guessing they were hoping to ambush me if i went to the circle. Still don't know why at least one didn't go to my cap, but not complaining. I went high as i had a feeling the valley wouldn't be safe and didn't want them shooting down at me, but never imagined they would be all together like that. Cant imagine what their team chat must have been like when I appeared above them...

I would nearly always target the better players when I'm playing arty,in fact I prioritise them whatever I'm playing - it's the main benefit of XVM surely?

The biggest advantage of XVM is knowing who you have to treat with respect and who you can take a few liberties with.

In the rare event I play arty these days I prioritise Panzer 4s because I don't like them and Hellcats because they are squishy.

The disadvantage with XVM is it's very difficult to get a good setup that tells you both how good a player is in general, and with the specific tank they're driving.

Granted a generally good player is likely to be decent in any tank, but it's worth knowing whether they have >1000 games in a certain tank of the 15k they've played, or if they've only just got it.
