These sort of things are all fun and games until you catch yourself using it in the reflection of the TV screen... that's when reality hits and you have to take yourself off to have a quiet word...
If that's actually the case, I pity you. Nothing wrong with video games, and a cheap steering wheel makes a racing game genuinely involving. This steering wheel, however - no 900° steering, only two pedals, no separate shifter, no force feedback? It's just a pretty version of any other £20 wheel. Fanatec or Logitech are the people you want to be going to for a wheel, unless you want to spend properly ridiculous amounts for Thrustmaster's T500.

You can be sure taht by the time it reaches the shores of mainland Europe, the RRP will be € 180.
Manufacturers often don't bother with currency conversions, they just replace the $ sign with a € -_-
I'll agree with that. Manufacturers often don't bother with currency conversions, they just replace the $ sign with a € -_-
Looks good in those pics. Shame I only own a PS3 console
I must confess to having a wheel pedals combo but only the MS xbox wheel, i have it attacted to a small table thing.
Its a bit geeky but my gosh does it make racing games 100 times mor involving, i'm married and i'm a dad. Its funny when i first got it i was playing Forza 4 and the Mrs was out, then i heard the key in the door, so i quickly dismantled the wheel and chucked it in the cuboard just as the wife walks in to the lounge...............
So i'm sat there sweeting and red faced.....
wife: "what have you been doing?"
me: "oh, just w@nking luv"
No way was i going to confess to playing racing games with a steering wheel and pedals!! phewww

I got a Logitech GT Force bundled with my copy of Gran Turismo 3 way back when. It was ok but the only thing I could bolt it to was the cheap coffee table we had in our rented apartment which made it very uncomfortable after a while.
Also, sometimes during a race, the steering wouldn't register anymore meaning you had to unplug the wheel and put it back in to reset. I kinda used it less and less after that and in the end the brake pedal had a broken potentiometer meaning the brake would register 10% braking all the time. That's kinda put me off getting any more wheels. If I had the money, I would probably convert the loft and have a few of the race seats with fantec wheels all round.

So errm, where would one get a seat like that in the UK - it looks pretty good?http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2628/picture003...
I love racing games/sims and happily admit to being a mega nerd.
Wifey doesn't mind, we've got the space, what's the downside again?

I'm a massive driving game fan BUT I feel no need for a wheel, nor am I interested in 'realistic' simulator type games...
It seems to me that we'll never get anywhere near 'realistic' because you cannot simulate things like G forces and 'seat of the pants' feel, let along give realistic feeling controls which enable you to control a car properly...
Even if it were possible, I doubt there's a big enough market for it - what people want is to THINK they're racing a car - just as they want to 'think' they're playing football or being a space marine or whatever...
I'm happy playing games which are 'arcadey' and fun - with a controller (pref with 2 analog triggers ofc.) because - to be quite frank - the simulators are also boring as hell and the people who frequent them are just weird.
The money some people spend on wheels, screens, seats and the like - they could buy a trackday car and do it properly - hell they could even RACE (grasstracking, banger racing etc. are fairly cheap to do)...
