Cheers Judge. Are the aim/shoot/spot functions all the same as BF? Hopefully being late to the show I will have some catching up to do and if its similar then show be a bit easier - saying that I am still poor on BF4!
Aiming – don’t think there is any benefit to aiming down sight and I think there is benefit from being in third person rather than first. The only drawback with third person is that if you are behind cover its harder to judge if you have line of sight plus I have several times thrown a grenade against my cover thinking it would clear.Shooting is the same, although different in vehicles.
No spotting.
The mini map is one of the big differences, it is split into zones and lights up with movement/firing, but easier to explain once we are in game.

How is it play wise compared to BF4?
The best review I can give it is that Havoc says its not bad – that was two days ago mind so maybe since then the hit detection/net code/glitching etc issues have struck and he’ll never buy a EA/DICE piece of XXXX again! The more I play it, the more I’m enjoying it. They have done a good job of making the games very objective focused on the plus side there is always a lot of action, on the downside it can become a bit too much who has the fastest reactions rather than best gameplay. As someone alluded to on here before its almost like an entry level Battlefield, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Don't think I've ever wasted £50 as quickly as this before...
One hit kill to me, enemy take 30 second blasts... ADS of zero benefit and vehicles that are... st.
BF4 with light sabers... Now THATS what I expected too... How incredibly disappointing - but expected from EA ing games.
Rainbow 6 on the other hand - challenging AND fun.

It's CoD like in many ways... Without too much jumping about... But I agree with everything else - when it did work it was enjoyable... In a pick up and play way... But overall it is forgettable.
For those who would rather blame my internet:
48meg FTTC with a ping of 5-20ms these days...
Virtually every game I have bar EA Battlefield and Battlefront are playable 90% of the time without network issues.
Is anyone else having problems playing this since the patch?
Constantly getting "disconnected from EA servers"
If I'm lucky I'll get into a game in the first place but even if I do I get kicked out in the middle of it. All other internet connected things in the house are just fine, network test on PS4 shows all is good. If it's going to be this unreliable then there is no way I'm paying for the DLC.

I no problem here, was on yesterday and again today playing the new Jaku map (it's amazing).
Took a while to get the Jaku DLC to work though. You have to let the game patch itself, then separately download the Jaku DLC. Then I still had to restart the game again. Once that was all done it's been flawless.
