Whats even stranger is that when it first tries to go online, it detects the fact that there is an update for the game, so it must be able to make a connection to the servers, its just like you say gayspy being flaky as cadburys rolleyes

Ah, do remember to do the update manually.

My example:

Load game
Update available, click me to download
Click link
Update got, installing
Can't install as the game is running, failed

Can't uninstall update as it didn't finish properly
Can't install update properly as it thinks it is installed

Can't update
Can't join online games

Yes, another absolutely flipping stupid feature, updating without the game mentioning exiting, or doing it itself, or checking it's not running, and then when it fails, the installer just crashes and leaves junk all over and you needing to reinstall the WHOLE game...

But when you do uninstall the whole thing, it leaves junk all over the system, while deleting ALL root C drive loose files

You really couldn't make up a less user-friendly game!

Well, I have thrown my toys out of the pram and removed it from my system, its now not adding new missions as you progress through the game and not loading new car delivery missions either. I got to do the enzo, the gold classic vette and that was it.
