RFactor Caterhams
Discussion
Caterham mirrors fix below.
This fix is approved by Major_Parts and doesn't create a miss match.
www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=SWL8HF1R
Installation: unrar, and copy and paste the file in the directory GameDataVehiclesCaterham
And if that doesn't work try it on here - http://forum.rscnet.org/showpost.php?

I'm starting an rFactor Caterham league if anyone is interested, it will run on Friday evenings at 20.30 take a look at www.wrracing.net/forum
Good to see you guys on the Caterham server tonight, I only had enough fuel for 5 laps when Jouni started the race, but it was fun watching Uncle Dave and Ross battle for the lead.
We have a test race for the Classics starting tomorrow at 8.30pm around the NAS International circuit. On Saturday at the same track its mixed class racing, starting at 8pm.

What would you recommend for a game where you can drive a good range of classics and current sports cars?
It honestly depends how realistic you want the game to be and what you want to drive.
There is nothing like the gran turismo series on the pc as such if that's what you mean.
Games like rfactor however have numerous superb free addons being made for it all the time.
This caterham mod is one of them, then you have group B rally cars etc, 1979 F1 cars, someone else is releasing the cars you see in the game GTR2 (an early version is out as we speak), the list goes on and on and on and will continue to do so.
For some old school racing, GTL (gt legends) is a superb racer, although i hear they too may be coming to rfactor aswell.
For a slightly less sim orientated game, toca race driver 3 offers up all sorts of cars, from caterhams to trucks!
Then there is GPL (grand prix legends), go google that one and you will see how far this superb sim racer has come since it was launched many many years ago.
Then there is live for speed, i have never really tried it although i hear that is quite good with a varierty of motors. www.liveforspeed.net/?page=contents
Really you want to be looking at:
GTL (gt legends)
GTR
GTR2
Rfactor
GPL (grand prix legends - limited cars on this mind)
TRD3 (toca race driver 3)
Live For Speed
Having played most of the above, for PC racing, i only ever use GTLegends and rfactor and now and again
i will let rip a GP Legend car for kicks. Then again, there is a demo of a GPL mod for rfactor too so that may become redundant aswell

For the record, the rfactor game is not really supposed to be using cars from GTR2, GPL or GTL, but a few people out there in the modding community enjoy sticking two fingers up at certain game developers
it seems (long story).
Rfactor was developed to allow modding teams do have a free reign so to speak.Other games listed above will sometimes have a new car, track or lots of skins appear, but rfactor mods appear almost monthly!
The sticky at the top of this section will give you an idea of addons etc btw.
